not a 5 starPosted Aug 14, 2012 on Hotels
Not a five star, maybe a two. The beach is great. The management is terrible and the workers seem miserable. The food is bland and often repeated, the servers are onlh attentive if they think they are getting a tip. If you get a cheap rate, its worth it, but if you want the luxuries of a five star go else where.

Not 5* hotelPosted May 1, 2012
Pros: Staff were freindly
Location: OK but pushy people in the shops around the hotel
The hotel staff were all really friendly which in part made up for the overall look of the hotel. The hotel was very 'tired' and the river that runs through the hotel was empty and really brought the whole look and feel of the hotel down - I would not class this as a 5* hotel (not even Egypt standards). The hotel just looked and felt as though it needed some upkeep urgently, even the cupboard used by the waiters in the restaurant had its doors falling off. The food was very tedious, not much choice and very similar every night, the omlettes were a God send!! There were more Russians in the hotel than anything and the food seemed to cater to thier tastes and was all a bit bland. The pool area was clean and no rubbish on the beach but again the beds and umbrellas needed some maintenance as many were broken. The hotel was not all bad but do not go there thinking you are going to be staying in luxury - you're not!
