nice motel very peaceful

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: We like the nice peaceful feel of the place.
Cons: Bath rooms need updated.
Location: There are many things to do just asked the desk and they will help get you to anywhere.
Hotel did some updates lately. added new tvs and refrigerators in all rooms. We've been going there for 14 years and love it. Can't beat the porch and view of the river, Plus 27 holes of golf just outside your door.

Great place for a quiet retreat!!

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: Great outdoor activities to do to be so close to NYC but far enough to exclude all noise and hassle. Not to mention the food...Delicious!!
Cons: My only concern is that for the price paid, repairs should be done often!! Broken window, clogged tub and splintered door.
Location: TreeVentures for ziplining...AMAZING!! and Camelback beach...perfect indoor and outdoor waterpark.
A little R&R is what my husband and I needed and it is exactly what we got at The Shawnee Inn. Serene, peace and quiet wrapped up with a bow.

Overall, our stay was good. The hotel restaurant food was not very good and it was pricey. We rented a raft for the day and rafted down the Delaware river. This was a plesant experience and the staff were great. Air conditioning was not working one night but the staff did provide us with a fan. Fitness Center could use some upgrading. Hotel is older but it does have charm and we did enjoy our stay and would stay again.

Don't let the exterior fool you....

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: the grounds were beautiful
Cons: Everything from the front door in...food, decor, rooms etc.
Location: Golf is about it.
Great looking property when you pull up, but that is where it ends. This hotel is in dire need of an update. The decor is from the 80's with old musty carpets, peeling wallpaper and worn down furniture. Our room consisted of a mattress that was sagging in the middle and hasn't been replaced in 15 years. There was mold, dirt and yes, someone's hairs in the bathroom (gross!). The staffs' reception was lukewarm at best and the food was about as basic as it gets. And to enjoy this stay it only cost me $300 per night. Don't be fooled this hotel is run down.

Few days stop over visiting relatives.

Posted Apr 10, 2015
Stayed for a few days. Found reception staff not very helpful and Restaraunt staff really good/professional with breakfast choice excellent. Took three days to get hairdryer working in bathroom after complaining each day. Didn't use facilities other than crazy golf which was fun. Wifi good.

solid place to get away

Posted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: The pool, the grounds
Cons: needs a fridge. needs to have cafe open all night
Location: it was a COLD april so nothing much to do. no snow, and too cold to do a whole lot outside. 1 day was nice and we enjoyed the field and hiking.
we had a great time. love the large pool and the ease of getting in and out of various areas of the hotel. having no fridge is a real drag though. get a room with a fridge. and to the hotel: put a minifridge in every room, its a necessity of life these days. especially when there is no place to buy food on premises after 6:30pm.
