“The Place to Stay in Sheboygan”

A cute little personal Hotel, not a chain - what we definitively prefer. And still it was affordable for us - comparable to the medium-cheap chains nearby. The evening clerk was super nice and we had an interesting conversation. The room was comfortable, clean and all we needed. (We just stayed one night in town.) The location was great for our purposes - immediately at the Riverside Board Walk, in easy walking distance to great restaurants, coffee houses, shops etc. Near enough to the Kohler Center. It's easy accessible by car, especially if you come from the I-43 from the South. We definitively recommend it. And we will come back - if/when our way brings us back to Sheboygan...

“On the Sheboygan River”

The Harbor Winds is right next to the Sheboygan River, with breakfast room and many rooms overlooking the water. Rooms have both refrigeration and microwaves. The boardwalk, accessed by a door near the breakfast room, leads to a beautiful view of yachts, fishing boats and parks. One can walk nearly to Lake Michigan, and if a cut is made out to the road, all the way to the shore near the Sheboygan Yacht club. Along the boardwalk are some fine small shops and several excellent restaurants, particularly an English style Pub. The hotel is a block off 8th street, a main street with many nice shops and restaurants.

Internet servie and computer in lobby. No muss no fuss. Make your own breakfast burritos or eat a hard boiled egg and you're off for your day. Eat at nearby Stafano's for a great meal.

“Peaceful Location”

The hotel was clean and friendly service. Looked like a converted Comfort Inn. It was very peaceful to be by the water and take a walk on the "boardwalk and look at the boats. Would stay there again.

“Right on the River”

If you are a boater, you can take your boat right up to the rear of the Harbor Winds Hotel. After checking i you can easily walk to three restauramts. There is a British Pub, The Mucky Duck; and Brisco County. I walked up to Brisco County, which is a very accomodating Sports Bar, Restaurant. They will put on any game you want. There are 5 TVS easily visible from the Front of the Bar. If you are not into Sports you can sit and view the River and Lake. The Harbor Winds staff is great. They are ALWAYS friendly and courteous. IF you need a handicapped/sccessible room there are 3. The rooms are pleasant and the Bath Room is spotless. The Cable TV has numerous channels; not like some places I've stayed. The Continental Breakfast (served from 06:30- 09:30) is not as good as it has been in the past. No pasrtries for the day I stayed. The riverwalk is very pleasant, and if you are ambitious you could cross over the River and walk along the other side. Room was well worth the modest price.. Place is recommended.

“Clean and Reasonably Priced”

Cleanliness and value are the two most important things to me - Harbor Winds met all my expectations in those areas. Hotel staff is very friendly. Breakfast was ok, though they were out of fruit two of the three days we were there (but I never asked about it, so they may not have realized they were out.) The hotel is in a lovely area along the river.
