After staying at budget inn Gastonia this was beyond my expectations Would stay there again. Everything was clean, breakfast was good, Internet worked good

Clean, convienent, helpfull staff.

Helpfull staff, old building but well kept and room was clean and comfortable. Close to several restaraunts. Fair complimnetary breakfast. All in all, very acceptabel.

Heartless

We found out around 11:20 that one of my wife's students died from brain cancer. We asked for a late check out of 12:00 the night before because we didn't get there until 12:00 am. The maid knocked on our door at 11:00. We told her we had a late check out. When I found out about the death we asked for a later check out. They refused. The maid came in the room at 12:00pm. I explained what was going on. She said I'm sorry but I'm following orders. At 1:00 the maid and the manager both came to the room. This was a Sunday, in a small town. We left the room about 1:30. When we went downstairs they were still cleaning rooms. My wife had to drive 2 hours by herself and I didn't want her driving upset. I just wish the hotel staff had a heart.

Good hotel stay
