Overall good hotel as the bed & linens were soft however the room had a musty smell & the bathroom was substandard. No ventilation so got super steamy fast, the curtain wouldn't stay on one side so kept sliding down & got water all over the floor & the ac was a little noisy :(

Stayed 2 nights. It is allowing me to review it twice. So I am leaving a second awesome review. I really can't think of anything bad to say. Everything was great. Very accommodating, clean, safe and quiet. Absolutely zero complaints.

Hotel was clean breakfast was good. We booked another day a couple days before showing up and spoke with attendant at the desk to confirm. Checked in asked if they needed our CC and attendant said no everything was good for 2 days. However the extra day didn’t show up as we thought. We understood mishaps with new people however; the manager, handled the mishap unprofessionally. She didn’t see the extra day and insisted we needed to leave. My wife explained we did book another day but the manager was not having it nor hearing what happened. Continued asking my wife you need to leave. Now we travel a good bit and stay at hotels regularly. We understand how CC are left to cover any incidental etc. This will be our last stay because the manager handled the incident in an unprofessional manner. You need to work on your communication skills! Don’t just assume and ask question!

Generally a clean room! I've stayed in other locations in Kings Mountain and they were NOT like this. NO smells, clean bathroom, clean bedroom. Outstanding to have the fridge and microwave. Coffee maker looked like it was dusty and grimy, but I brought instant coffee and just microwaved water, so that was okay. It truly would be nice if there are grab-and-go bags or fruit available if you leave before breakfast starts (at 7am).

We have stayed here many times in the past. For the most part, our stay was pleasant. Check in was quick, bed comfortable and food was as expected— no complaints there. However, the chaise lounge was filthy! There were what I suspect were semen stains on it. I refused to sit on it. Housekeeping either didn’t take the time to clean it or they just didn’t notice the stains but in my opinion, it was very hard to miss. It really grossed us out. Other than that, the room was fine.

The place was nice, there wasn’t much in amenities but there were a lot of food choices nearby. The pool at the time of this review was closed being in late October. Every day I came back from my work the room was cleaned and restocked

Clean but mismanaged
My husband and I were on a road trip and stopped for the night. It was clean, the bed was super soft, but they mixed up the room they assigned us. Other guests were attempting to get into our room around midnight because they got assigned the same one as us. Then when their key didn’t work they got a hotel employee and he opened our door with the master key while we were sleeping inside! Luckily we had the chain pulled closed and he couldn’t get all the way in before we made ourselves known.

HORRIBLE BED BUG INFESTATION 3rd floor
Normally this is a pretty decent hotel to stay at but for whatever reason my whole family got ate up by bedbugs my kids couldn’t go to school I spent over $1000 trying to disinfect my house we have lines of bites all over us this is horrible and the staff is willing to do nothing to try to help me get my money back or come see me for their uncleanliness also the room that we were giving the door did not even lock and we tried to go in the room the very first time there was a person in the room we went back down and got a new key and came back up the door was wide open the bed was not made up the shower was soaking wet they were used towels everywhere I guess we were staying in the room that they weren’t aware of The side door does not lock you can get in without a key also the patio area is never locked in a lot of the rooms when you just let the door slam on its own they stay propped up and therefore anybody can get inside of them I don’t know if it’s done on purpose or what I’m very disappointed and we will not be going back there I have a 7 and 3-year-old and this is very unacceptable very unprofessional and I cannot get any of the management or staff to give me a call back not sure what to do but I spent $215 in a room for one night we didn’t even get to sleep because we’re getting bit by bugs and doesn’t have the night we’re trying to make sure we’re safe in Very disappointed butThe lady that works Evenings has tried her very best to help and she is greatly appreciated

We are sorry to hear we did not meet your lodging expectations. We do take all complaints seriously. As you know we attempted to meet all of your requests. We granted you a late check out as requested, you did not mention bedbugs until we contacted you to find out if you were checking out after the late check time passed. You requested another reservation for that night which was made at a reduced rate that you did not arrive for. There was no bites on your body parts that you exposed to the maintenance man. We sent the maintenance man and executive housekeeper to the room with black lights to check for a potential problem, there was no trace of bugs found. They did find crumbs in the bed. You stated that you saw invisible flying bugs, again the staff saw nothing. The guests that were in the room prior to and after you did not experience any problems and gave no complaints. As far as not communicating with you we have spoken with you several times. We explained to you numerous times that you would have to request a refund through your booking site as this was a prepaid stay. In the future please bring concerns/issues to our attention immediately not hours after checkout. The side entrance door locks experienced an electrical issue and are being replaced. We are under 24 hour video surveillance. We do not prop open doors to rooms, there is no access to the patio area from a guest room. The patio area is open so guest may access the pool when in season or to smoke. When you voiced your concerns with the first room assigned, the desk agent checked the room, after you were assigned a new room, and it was not dirty and the door functioned properly. The original room was rented to another guest later in the evening with no problems or complaints. Every room is inspected after being cleaned prior to being entered into the system for rental. Again, I apologize for your disappointment.
