Mountain Visit

The people at the service desk were very nice at check in and check out. I loved the breakfast and the little lady that worked that area. The room was a good size and may have been clean. However, I asked for a non smoking room and it smells so much like smoke that I couldn't get comfortable. It made everything feel grimy. I ended up going to the store to buy air fresheners.

This hotel was the best yet! Convienent to stores- the best hospitality- clean rooms and everything else fell into place! I'm sure we will stay at this one again! We loved this hotel

The Big Disappointment

Pros: Hated this hotel!!!!!!!!
Cons: Cleanliness of room, continental breakfast and overall rudeness to customers
I complained as the room above us had party, with people running around on balcony area, doors slamming and people screaming. I had asked to change rooms too as they had us by a stairway. Told no. I called the office and was told there was a family reunion above me. So they did nothing. As for the condition, the room had a molding smell and the tv console furniture had black mold on it. You could tell there had been a flood in the room. The continental breakfast was a joke. I had stayed at a Quality Inn in Kentucky in early Sept and they had a beautiful breakfast spread, clean, a wonderful hostess too. This hotel just had some juice, toast and cold cereal. I am contacting my credit card company not to pay this bill too., I have never done that to any hotel and I do travel often. Well I feel this hotel needs to clean up their act and consider the feelings of all customers, just not the folks have a "family reunion"!!!

Pros: Location.
Cons: Nothing springs to mind.
Location: It's not far from the King's Mountain Battlefield site, which I have visited and would recommend. It is just across the border in SC.
I had business in Shelby and this location was at a good price and close to where I needed to be the next day. If there were problems I can't recall them. I just needed to get some sleep and leave the next day.

my first room was filled with mold and reeked of smoke. requested to move. they "upgraded" me and the new room still smelled like mold, urine and smoke. I had allergies the entire time I stayed in the room I would not stay here again

OLDER HOTEL. NEEDS UPDATING

HOTEL WAS GENERALLY CLEAN BUT CARPETS WERE OLD AND FILTHY. WALLPAPER COMING OFF WALL. HOTEL STAFF VERY NICE AND BEDS WERE COMFORTABLE. JUST NEEDS SOME UPDATING. WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.
