The bathroom was not clean and floor was cracked and tiles moved. Just did not look like a nice place to stay

Pros: The gentleman on staff was very nice.
Cons: Most everything could be improved.
Our first room smelled of terrible smoke and had ashes on the telephone. The staff immediately exchanged our room that was a bit better. The room, however, was still very small and smelled very musky.

The stash,could have been a little more helpful. They were very friendly but when I told them that my toilet was plugged up in my room, they handed me a plunger. There were other little things like that that they could've done better on. But they were very friendly.

Cons: When we checked in we had to wait aprox 15-20minutes for someone to return to the front desk. We checked in late and arrived at 1030pm.
The breakfast could have had more selection but overall good experience other than the check in mentioned below.

This hotel is conveniently located, and the man at the front desk was helpful. There was also a complimentary breakfast. Beyond that, it is old and outdated; our non-smoking room reeked of smoke as well. The window had been left open to air the room out and the heat had been running constantly, so it was boiling hot when we got in there. To cool it off, we turned on cooler air which made a loud squeaking sound that we finally turned off in the middle of the night because we couldn't sleep. The hotel also does not have good soundproofing, as we heard loud walking and door sounds much of the night. It was a very poor night's sleep for all of us.

Not impressed. Will never stay there again. Rooms felt dirty. Side door unlocked at 1 am. Bed uncomfortable.

The staff, including the manager, at the Ramada was the best I have seen anywhere. I stayed there three nights and they made me feel like I was their most important guest. That is the way you want to be treated at a hotel. I will always stay there when I come to Shelbyville as long as they keep the hotel clean and the staff as friendly and helpful.

Check in was fast and easy. The room was clean. It was easy to get to from the interstate.
