“Fantastic New Hotel”

Fantastic hotel, exceeded my expectation. Lobby was beautiful and guest rooms were outstanding. Great attention to detail. Large rooms, comfortable beds, outstanding shower. Room has frdige, microwave and flat screen large tv and ipod clock radio with docking system. Pool was nice and staff was extremely helpful. Free breakfast was also incredible with made to order omelets.

“Fantastic hotel for the money”

The hotel was beautifully appointed and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a one bedroom. It is set back from the road and there is a Chilis and Steakhouse (can't remember name) restaurant within 100 yards. We received a 10% discount on our Chilis bill by presenting the key and a free appetizer at the steakhouse with a coupon provided at check-in. The room was clean but there were no linens for the fold out couch and the maid had not left any shampoo (i only stayed 2 nights so didn't bring any). I discovered the first at 9:30 pm and the second at 6:30 am. Both were rectified quickly when I called the front desk. A car is a must (and a GPS if you can). We were there for a visit to Yale so didn't see much outside of there. It is about a 20-25 minute drive but well worth it because we had a full kitchen so were able to bring most of our food/drinks. I would definately stay here again.

“The reviews are true - 5 star quality hotel!!!”

I made my reservation based on the 5 stars everyone else gave it. I'd been to Shelton before and hadn't heard of this hotel so I thought I'd give it a shot. Glad I did! I walked in and immediately felt like I was in a high end hotel. The staff was extremely cordial. I used the business area on the 1st floor frequently which was stylish and convenient. The workout facily was also nice - hardwood floors, air conditioned, cool towels, modern equipment. The workout room also wasn't tucked away so I didn't feel like I was going to a remote area of the hotel. Just like the rest of the hotel, the workout room was modern and CLEAN. After traveling all day going to bed was soothing - I crawled into my extremely comfortable bed, pulled the plush comforter over me and I was out! Definitely the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in at a hotel. The entire hotel was modern and new. It still had the new carpet smell in the elevator! The complimentary breakfast was also nice. Two restauarants were in walking distance too which added convenience. Definitely recommend this hotel. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

The Hotel Sierra Shelton was a wonderful surprise. The rooms were clean and beautiful. The decor is well above a Marriott or Hilton. The pool and exercise room were clean and well-equipped. All in all a great experience.

“Perfect Getaway”

I stayed two nights with my girlfriend and we had an amazing time. The room is equipped with a full kitchen and very comfortable. We very much enjoyed the king size bed and all other amenities. The free breakfast each morning was very nice as well which offered a different selection each morning. For the price you can not go wrong. Also it was very convenient to have chilis not even a couple hundred feet away from the hot.
