We were not informed that the pool was closed until after checking in and upon entering the room we found it to be dirty and the door was broken. We requested a refund but we’re told that because we entered the rooms they would not refund us. We ended up leaving and going to a different hotel.

Carpets throughout the property...just walking the halls were not vacuumed & literally had dirt & trash on them. Went into a "public" restroom on main floor near the pool, & it was FILTHY with a broken toilet top & full trash can & dead crickets on the floor...not to mention the toilet hadn't been flushed & was filled with excrements. I flushed the toilet & it was incredibly slow in filling back up. A toilet upstairs had overflowed & was dripping water into our bathroom. Was a disgusting experience!

AC unit not cooling to capacity. refrigerator all iced up and not working properly, and door didn't latch shut so had to brace something against it to hold it shut. Never could get network shows on tv, which may have been operator error but it wasn't for lack of trying.

Don’t stay here at all
Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. First I had dead bugs all in my room, when I went to the front desk to tell them about it they first wouldn’t switch me to a different room they gave me a vacuum and had me vacuum my room. Then getting into my bed there was mold all over my blanket. So I ended up sleeping on the couch sitting up cause I felt that was the safest.

From the outside it looked like an abandoned property. The front desk area was hot and humid. The breakfast was scant and alos the air conditioning had not been turned on in the dining room. No working ice machine.

Small shower, dirty carpets and linens, smelled like cat pee in the room, ice machine was dirty and not working, toilet would barely flush. Also they key card machine was not working and we had to be let into our room everytime we left the hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful though.

The deadbolt on my room door would not engage. The door to the room was cockeyed leaving a noticeable gap at the top. My room was clean but the stairs and hallway were in need of a cleaning. The water in the shower came out a grayish color until it had run for a few seconds.

Smoke detector needed battery, office said we would have to buy our own. Telephone was disconnected, no connecting cord. Office said company was changing owners & nothing they could do. Suggested we should use our cell phone if we needed anything. We reserved room for 4 adults & room only had 2 bath towels & 2 hand towels. Office staff did provide 2 more bath towels when we asked, but one appeared dirty, used. We booked for 2 nights, had no one clean the room for 2nd night, no additional towels or coffee. Dead bugs on bathroom floor. I would NOT stay here again & would NOT recommend to anyone.

We have stayed at this location for the last four years, at least once. Small things are very welcome and helpful to travelers! There aren’t any luggage carts to use for bringing luggage to your rooms. We are older patrons…providing these small assists to older travelers helps. The condition and management has changed drastically over the last two years. The clientele has gone downhill from normal travelers to what seems to be transients. We didn’t feel totally safe. Our stay at this location is our last. We will not stay here again!

Dear Valuable guest, we Realy appreciate your business and loyalty. As you know Shenandoah Is a very small town and only have two decent hotels including ours. Fortunately or unfortunately there’s a small construction project going inside Walmart in our city where the company reserve our hotel for the guess which were coming from different areas of the surroundings to complete the projects and these reservations are done through Windham and other third-party reservation systems. Sometimes we do not have control over what kind of clientele‘s to pick and choose. And when these kind of projects come to town we have to take any and all business possible to survive and stay in business. Our staff is new and we are trying very best to provide the best customer service. And we do help our guest bring luggage in from the vehicle to their room if we are asked at the front desk. Since we don’t have Elevator we are not required to have a luggage cart. Our exterior doors are very convenient to the location of the rooms. Please give us another chance and remind us when you’re checking in and will be most happy To do her best to take care of you and future. Thank you again for your business and your loyalty support.

Up in smoke?
This hotel was less than stellar by far. We stayed here 100% for the price and since it was a super 8 branded hotel I figured I would be adequate for what we needed. It was not. First off the smell of marijuana smoke was constant from the second we stepped foot into the building until we checked out three days later. Secondly the police were at the property three times in one day. There were shady people staying in one of the rooms near ours, in and out all day and night. The halls were never vacuumed at all during our stay. The mattresses were very old and broken down. The staff was eh okay not professional, wearing pajama bottoms and flip flops. Never saw them at the counter unless they were called to it. After our third night we decided to go to rodeway in Red Oak and it is great. No pot smoke or shady customers and very very well kept.

This was a tough stay. Im forgiving when it comes to no frills hotel/motel stays but this was a bad experience. I had a later checking in on a very hot day. This rooms a/c wasn't turned on when i arrived in a 2 floor room and my guessing it was 95 to 105 degrees upon arrival. Turned on the a/c and it was apparent that it wasnt going to cool it down quickly so I decided to give it time. An hour and a half later still steamy. There was large stains on the carpet in this room and a friendly dead cockroach in the bathroom. Please note that is was a wood cockroach and this do not live indoors so they didn't an infestation but general lack of cleanliness. Ended up getting a different room after they suggested sending a mechanic at 10pm.....I declined that and the put me in a "pre cooled" room. The second room had various stains on one of the queen beds here. Shower had a pinhole in the pipe to the showerhead which covered the ceiling, light, vent fan, toilet, floor in water. Yeah, tough stay

Room size was good. Odor of the room was terrible, went and bought room freshner. Television did not work, desk clerk came to room to see if it really did not work, then sent maintenance worker, who could not fix it, second maintenance worker could not fix it, both came back on the phone with someone, and then manager came and fixed it. After turning it off, it did not work again. Manager was to come in a few minutes to fix it but never came for over an hour, I checked out.

Room was clean but smelled like smoke. Also hard to adjust the heat, it was either very hot or no heat. Great location for my stay. Price was cheap so I put up with the problems. I stayed during the covid time and it was almost empty
