Location perfect for visiting Antique MallPosted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Location and cost per night
Cons: general maintenance needed on above mentioned items.
Location: next door to a very large Antique Mall - largest in the Valley. Convenient to Civil War Museum, American Heritage Village, President Woodrow Wilson's
Location was perfect to Interstate interchange and Antique Mall. Motel is an older one. Room was pretty comfortable as far as sleeping. But the refrigerator froze our drinks, the light on the right side of the bed did not work at all. Room temperature was good but the heating unit cycled off and on every two minutes. Tub faucet dripped and bathroom sink did not drain well. The TV had no channel guide in room and half the stations were fuzzy. TV needs replacing. There was also no "Do Not Disturb" sign in the room. Therefore wrote on a sticky and posted on the door. The rates were fine but would not stay there next time in area. The gentleman who checked me in was very polite and gracious.

Shenandoah motelPosted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: Had microwave but no jug to boil water for tea or coffee makings.
Cons: More maintenance in bathroom would improve shower flow & basin drainage.
Used motel for purpose of lesiure visits to Shenandoah valley cities & hiking in national park but turned out to be further from latter than I would have preferred.

"Pet friendly"-not as 'friendly' as I expected.Posted Oct 23, 2014
Made reservation and paid for friend to stay as rates good and "pet friendly". I was disappointed to discover that my friend ended up paying extra for the pets after she checked in. Nothing online indicated that there was additional charges for pets.

Not cleanPosted Oct 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
I dont mind outdated, but peeling wallpaper, ceilings, and trim paint should be fixed. My biggest issue was i thought the tub was stained but it turned out it was layers of dirt not scrubbed off. Yuck! We won't stay again. You should also know that breakfast is coffee, tea or juice and a packaged sweet roll period.

Not PleasedPosted Oct 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed in 4 different motels during this trip. This one was the most expensive and the worst. We requested non smoking and this was obviously a smoking room. non existent amenities, small toilet seat, grumpy desk clerks, skimpy breakfast, no refrigerator, no morning coffee in room, etc

Was probably a nice place in its dayPosted Oct 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Was not a pleasant stay. Check-in was quick and the person was nice. The room was marked no smoking however it reeked of smoke. I didn't ask for another room as I was sure things would be the same. The vanity was falling apart, the toilet seat was very loose, and the wall paper border was torn in a number of places. I had booked for two nights however I did not spend the second night. It was cheap so you do get what you pay for.

Family weekendPosted Oct 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is old and aging. It was very sparse with no hair dryer and no phone. There was no light switch near the door. The management was very nice.
