“Fabulous experience-wish I'd known it was there earlier.”
This Red Carpet Inn is run by a delightful couple who made me feel as if I was back at one of the wonderful B&B's in Britain--complete with gardens! The landscaping is peaceful, completely screening out the busyness of the nearby highway. In fact, I will soon be working within a couple of blocks of the motel and look forward to stopping in to visit the owners. They obviously take great pride in their accomplishment of taking a run-down place and making it a place of comfort and peace. What more could a traveler ask for? Only caution--plan breakfast elsewhere as their "continental breakfast" is just coffee and a packaged honey bun. Worked for me since I already had breakfast waiting at my destination. The flowers and good will made it worth it.
“Good”
Everything was really great. Fast, qualitatively and comfortable.
“Looking forward to going home again”
The hotel and the owner was the most fantastic stay I have ever had. The owner and his wife are the sweetest and are there to meet your every need. They made you feel like you are at home. I didn't want to leave. The room was clean and very comfortable. What a great location, to everywhere I needed to go. The price was fantastic also. I plan to go back to Culpeper, Va to see my fathers new head stone and will stay at this most wonderful hotel. Thank you to the owners for such a wonderful stay, I well be back.........
“Bargain”
Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. The price was a bargain!
“OK if you're traveling with pets.”
OK for 1 or 2 nights, very basic hotel. Pretty clean except the wet, dirty, wash cloth that was left behind the bathroom door when we checked in. A little noisy with local workers getting rowdy in the early evening, but all was quiet during the night. Room refrigerator was not working. Continental breakfast consisted of a packaged honey bun and coffee. Nothing fancy but for the price better than expected.
“good deal”
Satisfactory accommodations at reasonable cost
“NICE CLEAN PLACE, ISOLATED AREA, GREAT FOR THE NIGHT!”
We couldn't really give a true appraisal of the comfort. We had a bad night, but it wasn't the hotel's fault. They had a bad lighting storm that knocked out the electric about 9:00pm. We were lucky we had flashlights. We had no air all night and the room got very hot. The manager came by and appologized, but of course it wasn't his fault. We had to sleep in the car with he windows down as best we could, as did others. About 3:50am we were woken up by the light in front of our car going on. Then we were able to go in, turn the air on and go to sleep. Room was clean, quiet and we had no complaints about the hotel.
“Clean and pet friendly”
I travel with my dog and chose this hotel because it is pet friendly and also because it is about half the price of other hotels in the area and I only needed a place to sleep for the night. The hotel is an older one and the furniture is a bit worn but the place was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Also, the shower was great with water as hot as I wanted and adequate pressure. This is a mom and pop business and I could tell that the owners take pride in what they do as evidenced by the landscaping and the cleanliness of the place both inside and outside. For the price, there is nothing around that can match it.
“Can't beat the cost”
met my needs and appropriate for the cost.
“simple and inexpensive”
this is a very simple (and inexpensive) place, so you get wjat you paid for. It's a bit worn out but clean, and staff is friendly, even when a guest shows up after 1am.
