I've stayed at Sunshine 4-5 times over the past 10 years, and this was a grand hotel at one point in time, but perhaps seems past its prime. I was disappointed the pool was only open 9am - 9 pm -- no early morning swim. And the gym was not open until 7 am. And our floor had a faint moldy smell, which can happen in the air handling systems in these tropical climates. Unfortunately, it may be my last stay at the Sunshine. Bao'an is a lot more convenient for us.

I like that I was served two fresh fruits every day at the hotel room. The two fruits were one apple and one pear. I didn't like that there were only two cans of beer in the refrigerator at the hotel room. There was more space in the refrigerator, so you can put some more cans of beer.

Sunshine good stay
The breakfast at Sunshine is good, but the location and view of the city is excellent and a great place to enjoy your coffee and plan your day. Many good activities around the hotel and easy access to the HK boarder.

Hotel close to King Glory Plaza and Guo Mao building , dongmen street, just a few minutes drive from the railway station, only 40 minutes drive from shenzhen airport, near the subway guomao station. Good hotel, with some areas for improvement
The first night was miserable. The was a ton of noise, there was music in the room, and there was construction in the hallway early in the morning. The second night was much better away from everything. Overall not too bad. The breakfast buffet was great, and the Japanese Restaurant next door to hotel was pricey but very good.

I used to come this hotel regularly but this stay was bad. First I find the room dusty. Whenever I pulled the bedsheets I cld feel the dust. The hotel is undergoing Reno and at 8am the drills started. Cldnt sleep at all. Aircon was bad. It so hot despite me turning it up to the coldness. Disappointed

Smells like a smoking den
I had a mostly disappointing stay at this hotel, the biggest problem being the air quality. The hotel reeked of cigarette smoke in just about all areas except the breakfast dining area. At night, cigarette smoke bellowed from the air vents and the windows cannot be opened, and given the climate of Shenzhen, not having air circulation at night is not really an option. Most areas of the hotel post smoking prohibited signs, but the local Chinese patrons smoke anyways and the biggest problem is that the hotel management is indifferent, despite complaints by me and my colleague of other patrons smoking in adjacent rooms on nonsmoking floors, with doors wide open. The hotel clearly only aims to cater to a local clientele, where smoking indoors is generally accepted or tolerated. Hilarious, the hotel places ashtrays below the no smoking signs posted beside the elevators, and these ashtrays are almost always filled with cigarette butts.

Get your own Taxi
hotel is at a convenient location. general condition of hotel needs to be upgraded. hotel is located closed to the Luohu train station. getting a cab to go there is not easy. the hotel staff is not much help flagging down a cab for me! so, I went and got one myself!!

I was attracted to this hotel by the pool, but the changing rooms are very old & smelt of urine which put me off. Besides, bathroom in the room needs to be modernized. Apart from that, comfortable & good place to stay
