“It's descent”

It was a fair hotel. Nice price and the room was alright. Their was some sort of strange smell and it could have been more up to date.

“For the money, would stay at again...”

The door in the back of the building that looks as if it requires a room key to open, does not. The security hinge on our hotel room door was broken off. Coffee pot pitcher was missing, was told to just use cup. Bathroom light didn't come on; light bulb missing on lamp near bed. Was told on Expedia "Upgraded Suite Non Smoking with 2Queen", as opposed to two doubles; when we got there, was told there were no queen beds. Supposed to be non-smoking room, but entire hotel/room wreaked to cigarettes. Overall, the place was a wreck; but because it's less than half the price of other neighboring hotels in this area and all I needed to do was sleep; I'd stay at again.

“See the highlights of Howe, TX”

To say this motel is off the beaten path is an understatement. Its in far southern Sherman, near the now-abandoned Johnson and Johnson plant. The man at the front desk had never handled an Expedia check-in, resulting in a 20 minute delay, as he called his boss. Day one, I head out at about 6 AM, but my room isn't cleaned until at 4 PM. No restaurant--go buy something at Circle K next door. One day, as I'm heading out, notice that the phone at the front desk is ringing incessesantly--can you say potential business that never got to converse? Many of the cable channels didn't work. Motel didn't have a high rate of occupancy--there weren't many other suckers in town besides me. No pool, never found an exercise center, no restaurant, and the pillows were a consistent grade of too firm. To splurge, when I found out I would be staying an extra night, I payed twice as much a night, and stayed at Holiday Inn Express in Denison. Ashamed to say that I payed to stay at this place.

“Trip to Potsboro”

The light or ballast over the sink needed to be replaced because it took minutes to turn on after turning on the switch.

“Not impressed.”

I asked where I could go to shop at some quaint places or boutiques and was told by front desk there was a Walmart nearby. What?????? On my own, found some wonderful shops in downtown Sherman, which was only a couple miles from the hotel. Hel-looo!!!!

“Horrible”

This hotel, in addition to being dated, added the nuance of being unclean.

“Worst hotel stay to date”

The first two rooms that we were given had not been cleaned. The hotel employee made it up to us by giving us a bigger room, which helped, but it was very frustrating to have to go down twice to tell her that the rooms were not ready. Also, being an older hotel, it is missing an elevator, making it more difficult to carry heavy luggage upstairs. There was a funny smell to the room as well.

“Great Staff”

The staff was very very helpful. Went out the way to make sure we had a good stay. Very nice people.
