Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel

"Best hotel I've ever stayed in"
This hotel has incredible customer service and the room was clean, roomy for Tokyo, and conveniently located. Everything from the heated toilet seats with bidet to the wonderful city view made my stay memorable. The only thing I'd mention that is, in no way the fault of the Cerulean Tower Hotel, is that although the hotel is close to the Shibuya Station, it's across the highway and you have to go over the overpass and then back down, or walk pass the homeless camped out in the underpass to get from the station to the hotel. Lugging your bags throughout the enormous Shibuya station and then up and down the walkway is rough, especially when you've just gotten off a long flight from the US. Don't let that keep you away or you'll miss out on a great experience.

"Excellent hotel!"
I really enjoyed my stay. View from my was amazing. and the location of the hotel is perfect. Although small (something to expect in Japan) the room was comfortable and cozy. Starbucks on 3rd floor very convenient.

"Perfect Location and Great Service"
This hotel's location is prime. It's literally 200 meters from the Shibuya train station and Shibuya Crossing (the world's busiest crossing and the Times Square of Tokyo). After long days walking around Tokyo, it's proximity to the train station was perfect. Additionally, there are endless options for dining, entertainment, photo opportunities, nightlife and attractions all within walking distance of the hotel. The staff was great-- They were very friendly, helpful and spoke sufficient English. Upon arrival, they provided me with several maps of the hotel's surrounding area and of Tokyo. During checkout, they were glad to hold my suitcases behind their front desk while I toured Tokyo for the remainder of the morning. The hotel was immaculate; room sizes were decent for Tokyo (where hotels are typically small); and ammenities were great. The only downside of my experience was that in order to keep my room's air conditioning on overnight, I had to leave the room lights on throughout the night. It didn't bother me too much since I was exhausted and jet-lagged, but be warned that you'll either have to settle with a hot room or bright room throughout the night. I definitely recommend Shibuya Tokyu Inn for business travelers, young travelers, solo travelers, couples and students! Families with more than two people per room may want to look into larger room options.

"Decent location with plenty of extras"
We loved this hotel - while it may not be super close to a train station (about 15 min walk from Shibuya or Harajuku JR station), it more than made up for this with great service from English speaking staff, included onsen, very tasty western and Japanese breakfast options (included in price of stay), as well as the complimentary soba noodles offered each night from 9-11pm! These noodles were super tasty, and were wonderful to come back to after a long day out exploring. I did not expect much for a hotel breakfast included in the price of the stay, and was very pleasantly surprised. They changed the menu quite regularly for extra variety, and offered a wide range of Western and Japanese breakfast selections. I really appreciated the fresh vegetables and fruit, as it appears that most Japanese restaurants do not include many vegetables and fruit was quite expensive. The staff were extremely helpful, and spent a long time trying to book us for the Robot Restaurant show and also gave us a voucher to see if half price. The onsen was great - a great way to relax after a long day of walking. I also liked that the hotel was in a quieter location, and although the train went past the hotel, I was not bothered by the noise - the noise was extremely minimal. I would highly recommend this hotel for any traveller, and would definitely stay here again.

"I feel that the review of 3 out of 5 is too low."
I feel that the review of 3 out out of 5 is too low. The room is super tiny, however, I found that it has every possible amenity that one can hope for. The included wi-fi was fast and had excellent bandwidth. The location, for me at least, is terrific. It is about 1000 feet / 300 meters from the Hiroo station on the Hibia line. Though Ropungi is far from my favorite location, it is popular with many visitors and is about 2000ft / 600 meters from the hotel. Ebisu, which is one stop away on the Hibia line or a $10USA fare by taxi, is an excellent area for the thinking person to enjoy the evening. The staff was very helpful and there are several all night convenience stores across the street and within two blocks away. It should be noted that Hiroo has the one of the largest libraries in Tokyo and also has a number of embassies including the German, French, Finnish and others, just a few hundred feet away. The one thing that I did not like was the enormous cost of using the telephone. I called one friend's local cell phone for 17 minutes and I was charged an astounding $19 for the call. Would I recommend a friend to stay there?....yes. The Westin Hotel in nearby Ebis/Megro is my favorite, however it is also 6 times more expensive....and they charge for wi-fi. With this in mind, do stay at the APA but rent a cell phone at the airport or use a MagicJack, if you are from the USA.

"Great location, Nice staffs"
Hotel is 8 minutes walking distance from Shibuya station. Check-in was fast and easy. Hotel staffs speak fluently English and very helpful on info about directions, attractions, restaurants...Room is small (as expected), but, clean and well equipped with small fridge, hair dryer, all toiletries (love Shiseido products. Lol). Bed is small (double) but super comfy with duvet. Bottle water (1) was provided daily, so are kimonos and slippers' liners. Wifi is fast and easy to set up. Hotel has just 1 elevator, so you might have to wait a bit longer during morning hour. Many convenient stores (Lawson, Family Mart, 7-11), restaurants, coffee shop (Starbucks and Jean Francois boulangerie are inside Mark City Department store), shopping and department stores (109, Uniqlo...) nearby hotel. Since we used JR Pass daily to travel everywhere around Tokyo, or Osaka, Kyoto...that's why we love this hotel because it's closed to Shibuya station. On the day we checked out, hotel staffs even hold our luggage until late afternoon so we have more time to shop ;-) . Overall, my husband and I, we like this hotel a lot. Beside courteous staffs, this hotel's location is just perfect. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

    Shibuya, Tokyo Hotel Guide

A busy, youth-oriented shopping district, Shibuya is equally famous for the NHK studios, Olympic gymnasium, and “Hachiko”—the statue of a faithful dog. On weekends, its Harajuku area is abuzz with the meeting and mingling of Tokyo’s most fashionable teens. Neighboring Ebisu, a short subway ride from here, offers a pleasant, quiet alternative to Shibuya.
