Comfortable, clean and quietPosted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms, and comfortable beds. We were particularly pleased that we could not hear our neighbors.
Cons: More fresh fruit at the breakfast bar. There was none on 2 of the 3 days we were there.
We stayed for 3 nights during Thanksgiving week while visiting family in the area. We will stay here again in the future.

The staff was very helpful and the room was comfy.Posted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: I liked the staff, the room, the cart that let us make only one trip from the car to the room, and the breakfast choices was impressive.
Cons: Having a larger pool and a jacuzzi would have been nice after a long, long drive.
Location: I have no idea what there was to do nearby, since my travel partner was suffering with pain. Didn't get to do anything but go to an Urgent Care Cntr.
We had a late arrival and the staff was very accomodating. The room was adequate, and the breakfasts were great. My ex-fiance had medical/psych issues, and the staff were very polite and helpful letting him know the closes urgent care center which he could have walked to from the hotel. It was great getting out of the heat. It actually snowed the first morning we stayed there, but the snow didn't stick. I was in cool weather heaven. The urgent care center couldn't help him and advised him to go to the hosptial, which he did not want to due because he didn't want to be admitted. Therefore, we left a day early in heavy rain to get us back home and to his primary care physician in Green Valley. I really didn't get to see much of Pinetop, but that's what happens when the person you're traveling with gets ill. I wish I could have stayed the sedond day, because the ride from Taos, N.M., was really long, especially when we took a wrong turn that added two hours onto out seven hour drive.

Pleasant MotelPosted Aug 17, 2013
Pros: Very clean, nicely landscaped and decorated. Good attention to detail.
Cons: The a/c unit needs to be repaired. The office personnel seemed exhausted. Add a pool and some fresh fruit!
Location: Easy to find. We didn't do anything in town.
The office staff were weary at check in and grouchy in the morning, but this motel was very clean and homey. The A/C worked, but was not on at check in, and the room was quite hot. It didn't cool down overnight, so sleeping was a bit difficult. The pillows are the lumpy polyester type, so we were glad we had our own. But, all in all, we were pleased. The rooms were large, with extra pillows, blankets and towels, smelled nice, and were cheerfully decorated. No pool or breakfast, for those who appreciate extra amenities.

This was the best breakfast and the quietest hotel of this type of chain we have ever stayed at! Grateful and surprised at how much Holiday Inn Express has come up in the world!
