Toilet would not flush, shower wouldn't drain, lock on the door to room quit working, elevator didn't work. This place is old and not kept up well at all. Horrible experience overall!!

Enjoyable hotel.

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Everything.
Location: Restaurants, casinos are located close by. You can get to any place you would want to go very easily from here.
It is a little older hotel but you can not ask for a better hotel with great service, nice rooms and a great staff. My only problem was with the lighting in the bathroom, not enough lighting to put on makeup. But that won't keep us from coming back. Great value .

So-So

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Location is good.
Cons: Seems poorly maintained, not especially clean.
Location: Close to downtown casinos and Riverwalk shopping
We stayed here to be close to Casinos, so for that purpose was OK. I had to use a walker due to broken leg-clerk was going to put us in a 3rd floor walk-up room! My husband intervened, so we got 2nd floor, long way down the hall. Had wanted to sit out by pool for morning coffee-gate was still locked at 9:20 AM. Breakfast was acceptable at best.

Beautiful hotel with great staff

Posted Sep 1, 2014
We recently took a trip to Shreveport for a family reunion. Our first night was at a different hotel to which we shortly found it was infested with ants which lead us to go to Expedia. We reserved a room at Best Western and it was just such a beautiful wonderful place. The room was clean, the staff was very helpful, the pool was clean and when we came across a leaking roof that morning we were moved to another room in a timely manor and continued to enjoy our stay. We also enjoyed the morning breakfast was always fresh.

Lovely Old lobby

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: The lobby was beautiful. It was done in the old style with marble floors a curved iron staircase to second level and a beautiful old chandelier.
Cons: Longer pool hours in summer and the lounge opened on a Sunday would be nice.
Location: On the edge of downtown Shreveport LA not sure what to do as everything appeared to be closed.
I loved the style of lobby. It would be a great place to stay through the week. Unfortunately, we came in on a Sunday early evening hoping for a swim and a nightcap would have been nice after a long day on the road. However, the lounge was closed and the pool closes too early (8 pm) especially for a hot August temperature.

Nice hotel clean room

Posted Aug 17, 2014
I only stayed 1 night and checked in late and left early so didn't have much interaction with staff but the room was clean and large so very comfortable. Down fall was the pool closed at 8pm, would have liked to use the pool seeing how it was 95 degrees outside that day.

It's a room.

Posted Aug 10, 2014
It's a room with a bed. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the room wasn't that great. Walls were paper thin and guests across the hall were loud and obnoxious until someone called them in. Breakfast was decent. The shuttle service was the best part by far.

Near Dog Show

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Never got past front desk.
Cons: Staff
I booked online because this was a dog friendly place but when I got there, they said we could not stay because of our dogs. Fine. But it did say dog friendly. They acknowledged this happens but can't stay. So Jessica who was working Friday night said she would book us somewhere else but things were booked if course plus last minute prices. We have already paid our entry fees to the show let alone the work that goes into this mind you so I was not a happy camper. Needless to say I decided to resolve it myself but as I walked off, Jessica decided to make a very snide comment about me within my hearing getting the other guests and staff to laugh. However I could tell they were uncomfortable about it more than amused.

Old building that need some immediate repairs

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The staff was friendly
Cons: There were just too many things in the room that could have been better (old stained ottoman, broken chair
Location: The location was good
The room was dirty, bathroom had a rusty tub stopper and patched up repair job that were very unprofessional, look like they were done by a handy man off the streets
