Lovely Old lobby

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: The lobby was beautiful. It was done in the old style with marble floors a curved iron staircase to second level and a beautiful old chandelier.
Cons: Longer pool hours in summer and the lounge opened on a Sunday would be nice.
Location: On the edge of downtown Shreveport LA not sure what to do as everything appeared to be closed.
I loved the style of lobby. It would be a great place to stay through the week. Unfortunately, we came in on a Sunday early evening hoping for a swim and a nightcap would have been nice after a long day on the road. However, the lounge was closed and the pool closes too early (8 pm) especially for a hot August temperature.

Nice hotel clean room

Posted Aug 17, 2014
I only stayed 1 night and checked in late and left early so didn't have much interaction with staff but the room was clean and large so very comfortable. Down fall was the pool closed at 8pm, would have liked to use the pool seeing how it was 95 degrees outside that day.

It's a room.

Posted Aug 10, 2014
It's a room with a bed. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the room wasn't that great. Walls were paper thin and guests across the hall were loud and obnoxious until someone called them in. Breakfast was decent. The shuttle service was the best part by far.

Near Dog Show

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Never got past front desk.
Cons: Staff
I booked online because this was a dog friendly place but when I got there, they said we could not stay because of our dogs. Fine. But it did say dog friendly. They acknowledged this happens but can't stay. So Jessica who was working Friday night said she would book us somewhere else but things were booked if course plus last minute prices. We have already paid our entry fees to the show let alone the work that goes into this mind you so I was not a happy camper. Needless to say I decided to resolve it myself but as I walked off, Jessica decided to make a very snide comment about me within my hearing getting the other guests and staff to laugh. However I could tell they were uncomfortable about it more than amused.

Old building that need some immediate repairs

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The staff was friendly
Cons: There were just too many things in the room that could have been better (old stained ottoman, broken chair
Location: The location was good
The room was dirty, bathroom had a rusty tub stopper and patched up repair job that were very unprofessional, look like they were done by a handy man off the streets

Good location hotel was subpar

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: I liked the ease of access to the hotel from the airport. The hot breakfast was a plus. It had ample free parking.
Cons: Check the rooms to make sure they are clean once housekeeping has been completed. Patrol the non-smoking areas to make sure that are clear.
Location: The hotel is very close to the Boardwalk which has restaturants, stores and a movie theater, is within minutes of the mall and casinos.
The stuffing in the boxspring was coming out of the side of the bed. The housekeeping staff did NOT service the room at all the first day. The second day they just made the bed and did not replace the linen, they did NOT clean the bath tub or toilet and did NOT refresh the toiletries (mouthwash, shampoo, lotion). Our floor was a non-smoking floor and there was a strong cigarette smell in the room and sections of the hallway. The third night I moved to a different room and got linen from the front desk to remake the bed because of fear that the linen was not clean. The breakfast was decent. There was a concern about the freshness of the dairy products because they were not on ice. The juice the first day was room temperature. The front desk staff was very friendly and tried to remedy the housekeeping issues as much as they could by providing Lysol, towels and the linen, as well as moving me to another room. I had an issue using the free WiFi, though it showed I was connected. I will NOT be going back to this hotel.

Terrible Hotel

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Clean rooms
Location: Very good location.
Very poor condition. Room was not clean upon arrival. I had to request for my Bathroom to be mopped, and for the bed to be remade.
