very poor motelPosted Sep 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
Door latch wouldn't securely shut to outside door. There were cigarette ashes on the bed sheets, what appeared to be a bunch of pubes on the sink and in bath tub. Surrounding area makes you feel as if you will be mugged any moment. Front desk was more concerned in flirting with the disgusting cleaning lady than actually doing anything. Would rate it lower than one star if possible.

Trains!!!Posted Sep 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Think it should be specified EVERYWHERE that this hotel is right next to the train tracks and that trains run at all hours of the night and blow their horns due to traffic crossings right next to the hotel. Also, the a/c didn't start cooling the room until about 3 am even though it was blowing very cold air. Just felt the room had major air leaks somewhere. However, the front desk staff went out of their way to be friendly and to accommodate all needs; extra blanket and pillows. But overall I am not sure we would choose this hotel again.

DirtyPosted Aug 6, 2013
We were disappointed with our stay. We switched rooms immediately after first finding a room with a very dirty A/C unit and a funky smell. The second room was a bit better, but the bathroom door didn't close without hitting against the toilet and the bed was uncomfortable.

Run down, scary clientele.Posted Jul 19, 2013
Pros: The comfort of the bed, working shower.
Cons: The atmosphere, the amenities could be greatly improved and updated.
The website was far more flattering than when we actually drove up and saw the atmosphere that was run down and out dated, the room was not completely stocked, breakfast was included, but had no proteins available, instead was all carbs. Otherwise, the AC in the room worked just fine, as did the shower and sink, and the bed was comfortable.

DisappointedPosted Jul 16, 2013
Cons: The rooms need to be fixed. There is no reason for holes in the ceiling and busted doors. The pool should actually be fixed or closed.
Location: Plenty of fast food restaurants nearby, easy access to the freeway.
This was our 3rd visit. Other 2 times it was pleasant. This time, not so much. Big hole in the ceiling of the shower, door had been kicked in and "fixed" so that you could actually see daylight coming through, and were given a room facing the freeway so very noisy. The pool was in terrible shape. Most of the tiles had fallen off, water was cloudy, bits of concrete on the pool floor. Way different than our previous 2 stays. For the price, we expected much more. The location is great but will look else where for our next stay.

Overpriced for the value hotelPosted Jul 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
One of the least favorite hotel to stay because of various hotel maintenance concerns. The main reason for the stay was the pool which we found had maintenance (cleanliness) issues. Comfort in the room was a bit diminished as the AC had issues at the time, but cool enough to stay for one night. Staff were not satisfactory as far as friendliness and helpful. The location was in a very good spot if you don't mind trains crossing the area all through the nite, but they didn't affect my scoring. A little high priced for the quality and comfort you would expect in a hotel with this price.

Nice Econolodge with one DrawbackPosted Jun 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a nice older property just off I-20. The staff a very friendly. The only problem is noise. Like several other nearby motels it abuts an active railroad track and pilots at Barksdale AFB practice touch-and-goes at night. Good value for a sound sleeper.
