Pretty Much Apartments

Pros: The manager Lisa and this girl named Amanda were really friendly. The free breakfast, parking, and wifi is great. It was like a studio apt!
Cons: The "sport area" needs serous attention. And they should warn people not to have their room keys close to phones so there aren't any surprises...
Location: There's a convenient gas station nearby that's walkable, but the 2 restaurants nearby (a fajita place and a seafood place) aren't that great.
We stayed 2 nights. We encountered a lot of children running around, but relaxing in the room was awesome. We spent most of our days out at casinos and the boardwalk, but when we came back, we went straight to out rooms. We had two rooms, but they were diagonal from each other on the building, so we had to walk downstairs and around to get to our friends' room. It was like an apartment in that there was a kitchen stocked with dishes, dish soap, pots, pans, a coffee maker, a full size refrigerator, etc!

The hotel staff was really nice. Room was decent, but hotel is kind of old..

Pet Friendly

Didn't expect to spend the night in Shreveport but was too tired to drive 5hrs back to New Orleans. Had the family dog with me which limited my last minute hotel options. Very happy with this place. Nice staff, large room and a full kitchen that I didn't need but will use in 2 months when I return.

I will not stay at this hotel again

The first room I was given had about 20-25 cigarette butts and empty beer bottles outside my front door. Inside room 1 some of the lights were burned out and the blow dryer didn't work. Asked for a different room. Room 2 also had cigarette butts around the surrounding area, food crumbs on the floor, a stain on the comforter, and holes in the sheets. Asked for a different room and was told this is the last one available. Room 3 had a broken lamp shade like there had been a disturbance in the room. Dishes that were put away in cupboards had food on them, there was food on the walls and refrigerator freezer didn't work and the sheets were too small for the bed. I asked for a manager but he wasn't available so the front desk man came to my room to clean the best he could

In need of repairs

Cons: Make repairs.
Location: We spent our time down town at the Mudbug festival. There is a good Mexican place to eat near by.
Check in was easy. Room was disappointing. It was up two flights of stairs after requesting ground floor. One bathroom had silverfish in bathtub, broke tub stopper and tub/shower wall was cracked from top to bottom. Toilet stopped up and took two calls to get it repaired. Floor vents were stuck over vent by toilet that you have to be careful not to get cut. Tv were small and very grainy reception. They did offer a good breakfast. it was a quite place . Some rooms are for long term rental and thoses did have lots of dogs.

Pros: Prices and comfort. Easy to get to from the interstate and back on again. Ample room in the kitchen, living room, sleeping area, and bathroom.
Where can you find a full kitchen and a working fireplace? Mainstay. The staff at breakfast were helpful and friendly.
