“Will stay here again”
The hotel was fine. Nice and friendly. The only problem was our room didn't receive maid service on the first day we left room at 11 am and returned at 10pm and the room hadn't been serviced. They were apologetic and promptly sent clean towels, etc. The rest of the stay was fine.
“Good Casino Hotel”
I enjoyed the hotel. It was everything I thought it was going to be. For the price it would have been nice to get some perks like free Wifi connection or free breakfast. The rooms were nice and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was big and roomy. I loved the vanity area. I would definitely stay there again.
“sleep deprived”
This hotel was renovating and under construction during my stay. I only received about 4hrs of sleep the 1st night of my stay due to the hammering and drilling.. I attempted to speak w/ management and the asst. manger (charles) didn't seem sincere at all about my complaint. So I asked to speak with someone else. And he got the area manager, Aimee. She was very sincere about the situation and apologized for any inconvenience however, that didn't make up for my sleep deprivation from the night before. Bottom line is I wouldn't have booked the hotel if I'd known they were renovating!!! That should be disclosed to all guest before booking a room.
“Be back soon.”
Sam's Town offers the best value for the money. My only oroblems is with their rewards program. In the past I would receive very lucrative offers. Not so anymore. This last trip Sam's Town was giving away Cock Pots. I stay there at least oncea month and never receive that type of offer. Possibly it's due to booking through Expedia.
“Great stay”
I would recommend this hotel.
“Great time!”
Just returned from a fun night at Sams Town. This was our first visit to Shreveport. I asked for a non smoking room and was thrilled to get in a room that non only did not smell of smoke but had a fresh clean smell. It overlooked the river, which my husband loved! We walked over the river bridge to the Boardwalk to shop. It is a fairly easy walk and is sort of fun to walk over the big bridge! The shopping was great and we returned to gamble. I hit the 50c machine for over $600! That really made the trip extra fun but it would have been anyway. When we returned home, my son realized that he had left his laptop computer in a drawer there. We called Sams Town and they located it and shipped it back FedEX the following Monday! I give props to the swing shift cleaning crew for being SO nice and going to so much trouble! They are the best. I would certainly recommend Sams Town to anyone and will be returning!
“Overall very nice”
Hotel was clean and people where freindly
“great hotel”
Hotel was great. Casino pretty small. Beautiful park just a short walk east of hotel. Great hotel for price
“Great place to stay”
We shared a room, 2 beds in the room, for an overnight stay and loved it. Great room, it was very big & roomy, very clean. Great bathroom, it was very big & roomy, very clean. Great value for money, would definitely stay here again. Free self parking was great. Not sure what's around the hotel, you don't really need to leave the hotel, it has everything.
“Very Satisfied and will return”
We live in Central Louisiana and just wanted to get out of town for our anniversary for a couple of days. We had never been to the boardwalk on the Red River and planned to spend the day there shopping. A friend of mine from Bossier City recommended the hotel through our Facebook friendship. The hotel was very clean, especially our room, which was just immaculate. The room was very large with a king size bed and we got a choice of either staying on the river side view or city view looking out the window. We didn't have any trouble with noises and our hotel room was a non-smoking room too which is the only type of room I would ever stay in. The only thing bad about the room was that the magnifiying make-up mirror in the bathroom did not light up & it wouldn't adjust so I had to hold it up to my face. The only thing I didn't like in the lobby area on the 1st floor was that it smelled smokey or at least you could smell the smoke coming from people who smoke in the casino. But I knew that would probably be the case so I was prepared for that. Since we got the room for such a great price it was worth it and we will probably stay there again if we go for an overnight trip.

Area:
Shreveport, Louisiana, United States of America: Much like Bossier City on the other side of the Red River, Shreveport is known for riverboat gambling. This trend began in the mid-1990s in an effort to revitalize the citys downtown and riverfront areas. Much of Shreveport was given a facelift and sculptures and mosaics were added, too. The citys Texas Street Bridge, decked out with neon lights at night, is a highlight.
