“Shreveport Days Inn”
The hotel when I got there was not busy at all and yet the hotel clerk placed me on the 3rd floor. I did not find the neighborhood to be desireable. The room was okay though.
“Expedia Should Banish”
If this is a 2.5 star hotel I am a monkeys uncle. If I could have read the reviewsbefore booking,I would have known to stay away. Rude staff is an understatement. This is one that Expedia should step up and do the right thing and eliminate to prevent their reputaton from getting tarnished. If it looks too cheap, beware.
“Just know what you are getting for the rate”
This hotel definitely lived up to it's reputation. However, we knew what we were getting into - just wanted a cheap bed. We were going gambling and when we arrived to town at 12:30 I called to see if a room was available, otherwise we would check in that night. They said they had a clean room available. When we arrived at the room, the room was not cleaned yet. The maid was next door so we told her. She said she "would let them know". Luckily, we didn't leave our luggage because when we returned at 12:30 a.m., the door was open and room uncleaned - exactly like we left it. They moved us to another room and it worked out but don't expect anyone going out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasant. We told them the next morning and just got a "sorry".
“Price was attractive but not what expected overall”
A good example of you get what you pay for. Stay was ok at best, but beds were more comfortable than they looked. I you want cheap then this hotel will do. Staff was very friendly. But location is not the better part of town.
“Worst hotel I've ever stayed in”
The place stunk bad and was dirty. The toilet did not flush. Rods kept falling off the walls and bathroom. The drain in the shower was broken. The maid never cleaned my room. These are only a few things off the top of my head. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in and I travel alot.
“Clean and close to Airport”
Hotel was nice and rooms clean nice hotel for the price
“Gives Days Inn a very bad name”
I booked two rooms at this hotel for leisure based on the pictures that made the place look not too terrible. The first night my wife and I arrived the front desk people were busy chatting away on their cell phones and very quickly handed us our key. We then went to park and get our bags in and when we came out there was a guy in the parking lot trying to sell gold chains to my wife and others swarming our car. When we came back later to park, after midnight, there were still people in the parking lot and we parked across the street at another hotel and waited for people to go inside before we walked over to our room. Over all, didn't feel safe. The first room had stains on the walls and included an ash tray. I booked a non-smoking room, but the room smelled anyway. The toilet wasn't clean, the bath tub was stained, there were stains running down the walls of the room, and the air conditioner was practically non-existent when it was higher than 90 degrees outside, and the bathroom light took about 30 minutes to come on at times. There were roaches too. By comparison the second room did not include an ash tray, did not have stained walls, had a clean toilet, a nicer bath tub, a bathroom light that worked, and the room's air conditioner worked great. The only down side I would have had if both rooms were like the second is that the pool had been poorly/not maintained -- it was very cloudy. This is a very bad example for Days Inn.
“Worst hotel on the street”
I thought - ok 2 star - should be decent right. At the very least comparible to the other two star hotels in the area. I have five kids, we'd been in the car for a long time and we were ready for a relaxing rest. To our surprise when we pulled into the parking lot there were people hanging over the balconies smoking, large groups congregated in the parking lot, and the room reeked of cigarette smoke. All of the paintings were removed from the walls. I woke up the next day with a rash from the bedding. The breakfast was from 5 to 9 am and at 10 till nine The lobby employee (I assume - she was in cutoffs and a tee shirt) began yanking everything out from under everyone while we were trying to finish our breakfast. I will never stay at this hotel again nor will I reccommend it to anyone. Don't be fooled by the low rate - you DEFINITELY get what you pay for.
“Only Stay Here To Save Money”
We decided to stay here cause it was so much cheaper than other hotels for booking 3 nights. We first checked in and went to our room and it was burning up in there and the air conditioning was on. We ended up switching rooms. Then the next room we had the air conditioning set on 62 but it was usually always around 75-77 in the room. It claimed to have free wifi but in both of the rooms i could not connect to it. I had to be in the lobby to connect. The free continental breakfast was good but you had to be there at 6:30 am to really get anything. The rooms were decent and the staff was helpful in anything we needed but it seemed like it was a inconvenience for them. Next time we will just pay the extra $50 and stay at a nicer hotel. 4 Thumbs way down on this one.
“Read all the reviews!”
Will not go back. Staff was friendly but hotel was nasty dirty. Pool was dirty, room was dirty. Outside was dirty.

Shreveport, Louisiana, United States of America: Much like Bossier City on the other side of the Red River, Shreveport is known for riverboat gambling. This trend began in the mid-1990s in an effort to revitalize the citys downtown and riverfront areas. Much of Shreveport was given a facelift and sculptures and mosaics were added, too. The citys Texas Street Bridge, decked out with neon lights at night, is a highlight.
