Disappointed

Posted Jun 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
After check in I got my room key card and it wouldn't work. Took it back to reception and receptionist reprogrammed it. Still didn't work. She tried again, but still didn't work. Had to use a master key to get in. Fortunately I was on the ground floor near reception, so not too inconvenient. Issue wasn't fixed during my stay, so I pretty much stayed in the room most of the time. As I was next to the corridor door, it was quite noisy with people passing through and letting the door bang shut. I'll try somewhere else next time. There's no restaurant, just a Burger King and coffee shop next door in the service station.

Ideal for a weekend base

This hotel offers good value for money; clean, good location with Services facilities on site, safe and free parking and friendly reception service. The only downside, which I accept could be a one off not having experienced them all (!), but the mattress was in poor condition. Soft and saggy in the middle. We only stayed for two nights which wasn't so bad, but any longer and the old back would have crying out for mercy..

Good sleep!

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Comfortable nights sleep. Room was quiet. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: There were dirty cups left in room but we coped
Location: Waitrose, Starbucks and Burger King nearby. Ideally could do with restaurant for hot meal but it worked fine. Nice breakfast in Starbucks.
No problems sleeping which has to be a good sign. Not A1 but you get what you pay for don't you? And this was fine for what we needed.

Cheap and cheerful

Posted Apr 6, 2014
Pros: Our dogs were allowed to stay in our room ( far cheaper than kennels!)
Location: It was handy to have a Starbucks and Waitrose on site.
We stayed in a family room which was clean and functional. No frills - as you would expect for the budget price. It was an excellent base to visit family in Telford for the weekend.

awfull

Posted Mar 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was basic as exspected, the beds are horrendous, in a double you just slide to the middle as if all springs have gone in the middle...we stayed for 2 nights (Unfortunatley) the cleaner must have been in the room as the bedding was tucked in, however the crumbs from breakfast were still on the stand, teaspoons were dirty and none of the soaps dispensors were filled up even though we had taken them out of the holder to show they were empty...however the worst thing is they allow smoking in some rooms, so even though we choose a no smoking room this was next to a smoking room and the corridor smelt all the time of smoke, it filters into the rooms throughout the night so you wake up (if you get any sleep that is with the beds) with a smoke smelling room disgusting...

When we turned up the room wasnt made, still a mess at half 6 at night... whichwas strange, but they did move us to another room which was clean... very comfy bed and very warm, which I like my heater working lol I would stay again... but could make more effort to make sure all rooms are tidy and clean, and the staff were very helpful, so thank you :D
