Stayed recently with a friend, after a slight hick up checking in we got to our room easily. The room was spacious, very clean and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was bigger than I expected with a waterfall shower and deep bath.. extremely relaxing! People in room next door woke us arguing at 1:00am but didn't say anything as nothing much can be done about that situation. Will definitely stay again.

Despite the previous review, we finally chose this hotel on it's apparent charm and atmosphere and as a result of the high standard of customer service when I called a couple of times with a booking enquiry, to request menu details and to make a dinner reservation; a stark contrast to some other local hotels which we had called earlier the same day.
Upon arrival, the reception staff were warm, welcoming and efficient and we were promptly shown to our plenty large enough, well furnished and presented room. The four poster, period furniture and décor were lovely and the room was well equipped, including nice complementary touches like bottled water and a cafetiere with fresh coffee. The bedroom and ensuite were suitably spacious, stylish and well appointed and the bedroom had additional double glazing (without preventing the windows from opening) to eliminate any traffic noise.
The bar and restaurant areas were charming and atmospheric, the service was warm, attentive and well timed. Dinner was thoroughly enjoyable and the food prepared to a high standard, all three courses were well presented and very tasty, as indeed was breakfast the following morning. The Hotel’s gardens and herb garden are also well worth a visit.
Thanks to the Hundred House Hotel for a very enjoyable stay, we will definitely return.
