A little out of the way and had to get the hotel to put the ordered cot into the room which came at 1000 at night! The swimming pool was too cold. Apart from that everything was ok

Breakfast was the best part.
We booked a night away to visit an Xmas market and chose Telford. Unfortunately Telford Xmas market is truly awful and is the worst one we have ever been to. Although a let down, due to the good location of the hotel, there was still plenty to visit. We had a very short drive to Ironbridge, not much there, but a very pretty excursion. As we are National Trust members, we managed to visit 4 places in the surrounding areas. The hotel itself. The room, decent size as you'd expect, but the room was tired and could do with a bit of a touch up, a little disappointing to tell you the truth considering the price we paid. The staff, all were excellent, very polite and very helpful and helped us where they could. We booked the breakfast and fact it was actually very nice. What was included which I noticed, nuts, made a nice topping along with fruit for the yogurt. Really enjoyed the buffet breakfast and definitely would order it again if we stopped here again. The crux of it is, would we stop here again? Tough one, if other hotels available for a similar price, I would try somewhere else. If the rooms were given a lick of paint, given a bit of TLC, then definitely yes we would return. With the good and the bad, from our stay I would say average. We may have just been unlucky and got a room that had black speckles. The staff and breakfast did save our opinion of this hotel.

Clean and comfortable accommodation, with an excellent buffet breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice indoor pool and sauna. Nothing much to do within walking distance of the hotel, but it's a short drive to Telford and Ironbridge Gorge. There was no fridge in our room.

Regularly visit
Always use this hotel for a mother -in-law visit as the rooms are always clean, tidy, comfortable and a lovely breakfast.

Lovely stay, the lift wasnt working when we stayed which made for a bit of a struggle with luggage. Breakfast is fab and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean although a little mould on the ceiling above the bath. Lovely things to see in the local area, Much Wenlock is beautiful

Hotel is fine - my room wasn’t great. The shower had lots of black mold in it, the water pressure was so-so and the water temperature was luke-warm even with the shower thermostat turned to its highest setting. The toilet seat also had a broken hinge. It was disappointing to have no water bottles in the room and even more disappointing that I didn’t get the ‘free room upgrade’ advertised by Hotels.com. Despite this, the room was well equipped with a desk, decent tv and usb charging points by the bed. It just felt like it needed a little tlc.

Anniversary Stay
Staff where very pleasant on arrival and helpful and go above and beyond. The Room - Teas and Coffee Tray good Bed was Comfy Shower went from hot to cold when set which was annoying Ironingboard covers need changing.to allow better ironing Food- Evening food was very well presented but just not to the quality and taste you would have expected. (Make your own judgements) Breakfast had a good range and can not go to wrong with variety they had. Gym- Really well equipped and clean Spa- Nice pool, sauna, steam room They gave a welcome gift for us on arrival which was nice.

Be careful if booking as a family
Chose this hotel as traveling with family and only stipulation was ‘we need a pool’.. on arrival and noticed a sign saying no children in the pool after 6pm and before 9am. We checked in about 6:15pm after a long day of training for the e daughter and the pool was a treat. We’re told there was no chance of going swimming. Had things already booked the following day so had to leave at 9, or normally a problem as we are up at 7 so go for a swim then breakfast. Did not see these restrictions anywhere on the website when booking as would not have booked.

Beautiful peaceful place. The breakfast was very good. Easy access to the centre of Telford. I'm not happy with room 708. The floors were trampled and dirty. In the room not enough lighting. The bathroom looks like it was 30 years ago and requires attention.

One night in a twin room
Overall an enjoyable stay. Rooms nicely presented, excellent AC in the room. Nice swimming pool but as it's a health club with members it can get busy. Good breakfast offering if a little expensive. Didn't try the restaurant or bar. Great location for exploring Ironbridge and The Air Force Museum.

Booked a deluxe king size bed . Was not a king size deluxe bed . More like a standard double bed in a standard room . . . Room was quite small . No way was that a 4* hotel . Meal in the restaurant was not worth what we paid . Had to return the first meal . Second meal was just a fatty bit of steak that was not edible. . So disappointed with what we received on the whole

Good and bad.
Pros: The bed was comfy and clean. The shower was good. Breakfast was nice. Service in the restaurant was great - I had a bit of a meltdown due to how loud it was in there and they arranged to bring the food to our room. Counter staff were also lovely. Cons: Spa staff seemed grumpy. The whole area around the spa seemed grubby with thick dirt at the edges of the carpet outside the men's changing room. The sauna and steam room doors caught meaning they were really loud to open and close. It smelt very damp in the spa. The restaurant was so loud we couldn't hear each other or the waitress. It was also very poor to average food (we both had steak and chips - the sirloin was very chewy and poor quality) but the cost was at a level where you'd expect better (£32 for 10oz sirloin). For the cost I'd possibly stay there again if there wasn't anything else available, but I wouldn't eat there in the evening or use the spa.

The shower was not in a good condition - broken knobs and lots of mould both around the shower tray and at high level. There was a lot of noise from a private function which, after a long day at work, was frustrating. On a positive side, good parking and very comfortable bed.
