We had a wonderful week at Al Mendili. Relaxing atmosphere, stunning views and friendly staff. The traditional Moroccan and French cuisine was delicious with lovely wines too. Hammam was a real treat on the last day. A wonderful stay and would love to visit again soon.

Lovely surroundings wonderful staff.
A pleasure from the moment we arrived. Serenaded by Nightingales and Turtle Doves, in a lovely suite in a beautifully appointed riad. The interior was a delight of textures, colours and objects. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and accommodating as were the hosts. An enchanting small hotel located with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains in a verdant oasis.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Catherine and Alain were perfect hosts. We were half board but also often opted for lunch served by the pool. Meals were fixed menu but simple and delicious. Each day something completely different. Out of town location was just what we wanted. Fabulous vies of the Atlas mountains from our balcony overlooking the gardens and pool. We hope to return next time we need some R&R. Thanks

Peaceful retreat but very remote
Lovey setting with very nice rooms. Great pool and gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Two downsides from our perspective - miles from anywhere - u have to call taxi to go out. Food was not very good - we had to complain a couple of times about the quality and portion size. If u spend the day relaxing there u have no other options for lunch.

Great hotel would definitely go back. It's a great place if you are looking for a mixture of relaxation and activity as you are in between the city and Atlas Mountains. The staff and owners are very helpful and friendly, they even organised great excursions on request. The rooms are lovely and you can walk straight out from the ground floor rooms to the pool area which was fantastic. The food was great as well. You also get great views from the roof terrace of the mountains and sunset while having dinner. Overall an excellent hotel combines old school charm and hospitality with all the advantages and modern conveniences of a great hotel.

Fantastic week away!!
Just come back from Riad Al Mendili and already wish I was back there. What a little gem in Marrakech. My husband and I stayed here for a week, leaving our elder children at home, wanting a quiet stress free time, and that is exactly what we got. I must say how fantastic the staff are here and attend your every need. Catherine & Alain are the perfect hosts. The setting, surroundings, room, pool, food, spa, were all first class. We went into the Medina during the day and during the night and what an experience. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away for a break and we will definitely be returning.

This place is perfect if you just want to think about nothing! The location is very remote and peaceful. Would be better being an all inclusive rate as you have no alternative options. Food was great at dinner, but lunch a little disappointing. Would prefer a choice, but there was none.

Wonderful relaxing break.
We chose the Riad Al Mendili from previous reviews & were not disappointed. You will get warm welcome from the french owners, the staff are courteous & helpful, our room was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. There are plenty of places to sit and relax. Lots of comfortable seating areas in the Riad, a lovely roof terrace, well kept gardens. There is a good size swimming pool which is unheated. Half is shallow so I imagine it heats up quickly in warmer weather. There is also an outdoor Jacuzzi. We both had massages in the Spa which were excellent & reasonably priced. The Al Mendili is in an isolated location so we were glad to have pre-booked a taxi from the airport & half board. There is no menu but the cook did her very best to accommodate our dietary needs - 1 veggie, 1 gluten free. The food was fresh & tasty.

A tranquil idyll and a real "find"
We were met with mint tea and a very friendly welcome by the charming proprietors and from the very first moments began to talk of how soon we could come back. In addition to the marvellous setting and gardens, the attention to detail in the décor, the staffs' attitudes and cleanliness made this small hotel an absolute delight. With so many sweet little seating areas and terraces it was always possible to find a private, luxurious corner to relax and enjoy the views of the Atlas mountains. We ate each night on the roof terrace, watching palm trees silhouetted in the sunset and enjoying the French influenced Moroccan food/ Moroccan influenced French food. There was no menu, no choice of dish but that was absolutely fine by both of us: we had been asked upon arrival, even before we knew if we would eat there, if we had any allergies or dislikes. The food was excellent, although more akin to UK hotel prices than our meals in the city. We each had 2 spa treatments & the spa which was clean, discreet and with very high calibre staff and products. Very enjoyable.

A beautiful oasis of tranquility
A long weekend in a beautiful setting. The Riad was stunning in it's decor and design and Claire, the niece of the French owners, was in charge this summer and could not have been more helpful and friendly. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable with air conditioning, balcony and shutters. The pool was clean and the gardens are beautifully tended. The double sunbeds are excellent with deep cushions and clean towels and umbrella. Plenty of room so you do not have to sit close to the handful of guests staying at one time. The breakfast was Moroccan in style, a perfect amount and good! Lunch and dinner were also tasty and personalised according to what we wanted. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.

Amazing place for relaxation
This hotel is based just outside of Marrakech, a reasonable distance, to enable you to completely relax away from the craziness that is the Medina and main square. This is a beautify hotel, the team working there, from Claire the manager to the ladies that serve breakfast to Mossin who waits the tables at lunch and dinner, to the young lad that dutifully tends the gardens every morning, can not do enough to make your stay as relaxed and amazing as you want. The food breakfast, Lunch and Dinner all amazing and some of the best food we ate in Morocco whilst we were there. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would defiantly return for a short break. The Riad is beautifully set in its oasis of green, and don't be afraid of the dirt track to get there, you will not be disappointed, the pictures do not do it justice.

To say this is paradise would be underselling it! The most perfect setting, rooms, hotel, grounds, views and staff. the perfect place to escape to from the madness of Marrakesh. Could rave on about it for ages but you need to experience this place for yourself. Perfection! Heaven truly is a place on earth!!!

Outstanding destination for a relaxing break
My partner and I had a truly wonderful six day break at Al Mendili, who's facilities and staff were outstanding. The Riad is set in a beautiful area roughly 30 minutes from the old town of Marrakech. On our first night we were treated to a personal room for dinner in a very romantic private room which felt like we were in our own Arabic Palace. The food throughout our stay was of excellent quality and the staff were of similar standard. The owners were very attentive without being intrusive which has obviously been passed on to the staff as well. On the whole we both had a fantastic, relaxing break in a beautiful location whilst being taken care of by highly trained exceptional staff which not least of all includes the chef!!

Perfect escape, wonderful staff, magnificent delicate cooking. Peace and birdsong (including the chickens and peacocks). So it is a half hour taxi into Marrakech, but great to come home home to the kasbah each day. We can understand why so many reviewers return.

Just magic!
This hotel has got everything you need for a great holiday. The moment you walk through the door you are greeted by Vanessa and Manu (the owners) with some mint tea and a hot flannel. The hotel is very intimate and beautifully decorated. All rooms face the pool and have a view of the Atlas mountains. Breakfast is superb and different every morning. If you have dinner at the hotel you can eat where ever you like, e.g. beside the pool, on the roof terrace or in the "Snug". The staff are all very friendly and really look after you. Manu can arrange anything you want, taxis, trips, book restaurants etc. If you want to relax and be pampered then is the place to visit.

Morroccan Paradise
This boutique hotel is a small coner of paradise in Marrakech. Situated approx. 40 mins drive from the airport, once you have entered the calm and serene walls of the beautiflly tended garden, you will not want to leave... I certainly didn't and I love to barter in the bazzars with the best of them. Vanessa, her husband all the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home while at the same time not being intrusive if you just want to relax quietly. They have sucessfully managed to keep the balance between luxury and personality here. In terms of what the hotel looks like....wow! the attention to detail is exquisite. From the spa to the bedrooms, bathrooms and my favourite moroccan knook where I had most of my dinners,it all has to be seen to be believed. Traditional morroccan food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and olive oil from the trees that surround the kasbah. I could go on and on.. Believe the hype it is fantastic........

Le Riad est superbe. Les propriétaires sont extrêmement aimables et accueillants. Le personnel est très attentif, poli et agréable. La nourriture est de qualité, les petits déjeuners sont variés et bien fournis, les diners également. Les vins auxquels nous avons gouté étaient également bien sélectionnés. L'établissement est très propre, la piscine bien aménagée aussi bien pour les enfants que les adultes. La décoration a été faite avec goût, l'ambiance est chaude, on s'y sent très bien. Nous avons profité des services hammam et massage et avons passé de bons moments. Je recommande chaudement cet établissement et y retournerai très volontiers.

“un long week end dépaysant”
Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir le Riad pour nous tout seul. Service impeccable, personnel souriant et avenant tout en se faisant très discret. Etant seul, nous avons mangé a coté de la cheminée ce qui était très romantique. Cuisine parfaite et très variée avec beaucoup de légumes et un tajine merveilleux. Bon conseil du propriétaire pour un guide + chauffeur pour visiter Marrakech une après-midi qui fut très agréable avec une visite du souk en profondeur. Seule ombre au tableau, notre suite insuffisamment chauffée à notre arrivée et un lit glacé, dommage, mais à ce niveau de standing anormal Séjour du février 2015

Really Great stay. Fantastic place with a great atmosphere. The owners and staff is really really doing a great job in making you feel at home and serviced. Food is great also. In the winter you need to keep the room warm with the a/c. SPAN/Massage experience was great and at attractive prices. All in all .. could not be better.

au Riad Al Mendili, on vous chouchoute, on vous cajole... mais on vous laisse aussi profiter de l'ambiance zen qui règne dans les lieux. Literie au top, repas à tendance recettes locales (par ici les bons tajines), transats matelassés au bord d'une grande piscine (laquelle manque cependant de profondeur et du coup, nager est compliqué), un SPA sympa, quelques volatils qui mettent de l'ambiance (un pan le jour, sympa ; mais un coq la nuit... moins sympa), des diners en terrasse pour voir le coucher de soleil, une situation un peu loin de la Medina, certes, mais à mi-chemin entre Marrakech et la vllée de l'ourika... détente et exotisme assurés !

Riad très agréable et acceuillant.
Huit jours très agréable ou les repas peuvent être pris ou l'on veut à n'importe quel endroit de la maison ou au bord de la piscine. Le personnel est à l'écoute et les patrons toujours prêts à donner des bonnes adresses.Les chambres sont joliments décorées et les suites très spatieuses avec terrasse privative; elles sont faites tôt le matin et le soir la couveture est faite .

Hôtel intime de 10 chambres ou il fait bon vivre. Idéal pour faire un break ou passer un séjour en amoureux. Catherine et Alain et tout le personnel mettent les petits plats dans les grands pour vous faire passer un séjour unique personnalisé et qui restera inoubliable.

Nous avons passé une semaine inoubliable dans un décor à l’oriental. Nous aspirions à nous reposer dans un lieu calme et beau ; nous avons été exaucés au-delà de nos souhaits ! De notre chambre, nous avions une vue magnifique sur l’Atlas enneigé. Quel plaisir de prendre son petit déjeuner avec un tel panorama ! Un breakfast copieux soigneusement équilibré aux saveurs différentes chaque jour. Nos hôtes Vanessa et Emmanuel nous ont accueillis à bras ouverts. Quant au personnel il était attentif à nos moindres souhaits et d’une gentillesse rare (merci tout particulier à Halima et Assan). Il est préférable de louer une voiture car le site est à une vingtaine de minutes de Marrakech. En conclusion : un coup de cœur. Ghislaine et Jean-Pierre

Plus rien ne sera jamais comme avant ! La découverte de la Kasbah Al Mendili est une révélation qui nous a ému et comblé au-delà de nos espérances. Nous avons pu célébré les 10 ans de notre rencontre dans un lieu magique, hors du temps, qui dégage une telle quiétude, de telles ondes positives, et une véritable chaleur humaine que nous en sommes encore bouleversés. Les atouts : service impecable qui devance constamment nos désirs, chambre confortable spacieuse et très belle tout autant que la maison elle-même au charme marocain moderne, environnement très silencieux invitant à la méditation, vue magnifique sur un champ d'oliviers et les montagnes de l'Atlas, gastronomie marocaine excellente et personnalisée Cette Kasbah a une âme et on a le sentiment qu’elle existe depuis toujours. Vanessa et Emmanuel, on devrait vous décerner le « Prix Nobel de la Paix Intérieure » pour avoir imaginé, conçu et pour faire vivre cet écrin de plaisir. Merci à vous et votre charmante équipe pour votre accueil unique, votre convivialité permanente et réconfortante. Le Luxe absolu et véritable existe, c’est ici et nous le ferons savoir à nos proches. Mais on aurait presque envie de le garder secret, très égoïstement, pour le préserver. Non ! veritable coin de paradis, cet etablissement est tt simplement parfait, l'accueil des proprietaires et de tte l'equipe a ete parfait, serviettes chaudes et the a la menthe lors de notre arrivee,rien a dire, on nous a bichonne du debut a la fin, la deco des chambres et de la kasbah est tres soignee, beaucoup de fleurs fraiches, de bougies aux senteurs magiques, la cuisiniere est une veritable tueuse!! Les repas sont excellentissimes et tres copieux, comme les petits dejeuners, bref ce fut un sejour parfait sur toute la ligne, ns ns sommes sentis un peu chez des potes, a l aise!!!! Allez y sans reflechier c'est le pied, merci encore a Vanessa et Manu et a tte l equipe!!!!
