Unnecessary Attitude Excellent HotelPosted Apr 26, 2015
Cons: Just a little sensitivity training behind the counter, perhaps.
Location: We were there to do business in Troy and we did just that and came back home the next day.
The hotel is convenient to I75 but exceedingly quiet for being right on the interchange. Excellent surroundings, clean, comfortable room. All of that was excellent. I did encounter some attitude when I checked in -- something I doubt I will ever understand. The person checking me in seemed to have an issue because I booked via Expedia.com. Apparently the information I provided to Expedia regarding address, phone number & method of payment was not passed on to the hotel and she seemed a bit miffed that she had to get it "because you booked with a third party -- Expedia, right?" I gave her a little attitude in return by telling her I didn't care about repeating the information; I just wanted to check in and move on. She seemed to "straighten up" after that. I am a business person and I do not believe that whatever the "bug" is between Hampton & Expedia should be the customer's business. Aside from that, this was an excellent experience.

BEST OPTION FOR THE AREAPosted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: The place seems new and fresh and clean, even though it is 15 years old. Elevator. Decent quality.
Cons: The so-called king size sheets are not wide enough to hang off the sides much... the only flaw here. [They gave us another sheet to overlap.]
Location: We no longer stay in Piqua because of the train whistles. Here, it is not an issue if you choose a unit on the south side.
The staff will do whatever they can to accommodate you. The hot breakfast has a rotation of egg preparations and meats from day to day. Great variety and generally stays away from cheap packaged products. The place we used to stay is 20 less, but what you get here is a better value... it's a no-brainer. [We got an online discount.]

Clean hotel near OktoberfestPosted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Clean and near interstate 75.
Location: Near interstate 75 and just a few miles from the Oktoberfest in Minster.
We had a nice stay overnight after the Minster Oktoberfest. The room was clean and quiet.

Another great stay!Posted Aug 12, 2014 on Hotels
This was our 7th night in 10 that we've stayed at a Hampton Inn and this one was no exception. It was clean, consistent with other Hampton Inns and provided us a great night's stay. When we are in the area, we would definitely come back here! The staff was especially nice and gave us a good recommendation for our dinner too.

Great room and breakfastPosted Apr 23, 2014 on Hotels
The room was very clean. The location is off the highway, but it is very quiet. WiFi and the TV worked beautifully. The breakfast had very appetizing food and a good selection. I would highly recommend this hotel.
