Comfortable and convenient...

Posted Feb 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
It is a decent hotel for those on a budget. Quiet surroundings yet close enough to the Old Market and a convenient ride to it. The suite we got was not quite as nice as the one shown on their web site (no balcony attached to the room, no coffee) but comfortable enough for a good nights sleep. Our cab did not show up at the airport to pick us up even though we had a confirmed booking but the front desk manager was kind enough to reimburse us for our expense. The free airport transfer is one-way only which is different from the wording on their web site.

Amazing value and a great place to relax

Posted Feb 26, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Location: All in the experience above.
We loved this hotel. We got a fantastic deal on Expedia. It is far enough out of town to be away from the throngs of tourists and backpackers. The hotel provides a free tuk-tuk into town and back as often as you like, at any time up to 10pm. Although it is on a fairly main (though small) road and you do hear the traffic and horns, this is only noticeable at night if you sleep with the A/C off and window open. With the A/C on, it is perfect. One of the best things was the swimming pool. Good sun beds and shade, warm, clean water, very relaxing after a dusty tour round the temples. The breakfast was great - lots of choice and tasty. The lunch and dinner we had there was good too. They serve at the pool if you wish. The free hotel pick-up (but not return journey) was also a real plus. Call the hotel to arrange this beforehand. The absolute best thing was the price for the quality and facilities. Really great value, friendly, helpful staff. Perfect.

Beautiful place, needs a few finishing touches

Posted Feb 23, 2014
Lovely place, slightly out of town but with free tuk tuks on tap. Sweet staff. Nice pool. But for the money it could add a few easy finishing touches like repairing the sunbeds, putting a sachet of coffee next to the kettle, better breakfast etc. Basic but clean room. Booking through the hotel direct was $50 a night for four of us, when we extended our stay and that was much better value. Good wifi, good for kids. We were sad to leave. Had a really delicious dinner there, better than in town. Power cuts were familiar. But I'd recommend for a quiet, pleasant stay in siem reap.

Quiet Surrounding 2 km from hotel

Posted Feb 11, 2014
Nice hotel, quiet surroundings, 2 km away from main market (Pub Street) area. Free tuk-tuk transport available to the market area upto 10pm. Good staff. Breakfast is fine. But would recommend having food in the market area. They have a pool, lean but not many people using it so you can have the pool to yourself most of the times!!

Great stay when in Siem Reap

Staff is amazing. They ironed my dress for free. Also, they have a tuktuk downtown with free pick-up back to hotel. Breakfast was good as well. Soaking at the pool is perfect after a long day walking at the temples.

Great hotel full of character, real helpful staff

Pros: Character, facilities, pool .......
Cons: Showers
Location: On edge of town so is quiet but free tuk-tusk only take 3 mins to town. Great for access to Angkor archeological complex
Fantastic location on edge of town but free tuk-tuk only took 3 minutes to get to centre. Staff were great in organising trips. We really enjoyed our stay. The whole hotel oozes character and the pool is great. Only slight niggle would be the quirky showers but overall we had a fantastic time and would like to stay there again.

Memorable, fun and fantastic!

From arrival the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. English is their second language and they make a huge effort to understand and help you. Our first impression was fantastic, beautiful design, gardens and swimming pool.if you want to stay out of the frenetic downtown like we did this is the place to go. However downtown is only a complimentary tuktuk away (drop off and pickup service provided) We toured the Angkor Complex for two days with one of the hotel drivers (Simon, who we'd like to specially mention and thank for his great service-you won't be disappointed if you happen to ride with him! ) Complimentary breakfast was delicious-small menu but good food selection.Plus if you get up early enough you get to see the sunrise while you eat. Everyone that works there goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and memorable-would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

Loved the character!

This was our first hotel in Cambodia, and I am so pleased we stayed here. It is more modest than the upmarket hotels in SR but still very roomy and comfortable, and has a more authentic feel and location. We felt much more immersed into Cambodian culture. WiFi and TV was no problem. We ate dinner twice at the roof top restaurant and enjoyed the food and service. The manager and staff were very friendly and attentive. Arranging tuk tuks into town or to Angkor Wat was no problem. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
