“Another nice hotel in Siem Reap”
There are sooo many new hotels in Siem Reap. They are all pretty much cookie-cutter (I've been a few times). The Borei is similar to many other proporties. It's new and clean and the staff is friendly. The room was large and comfortable. No complaints in any area.
“Fantastic hotel from decor to amenities”
We stayed 3 nights and were thoroughly pleased with the service, food, spa, swimming pool. All in all a very positive experience and I would recommend it for anyone who wants to see the area or just relax for a few days.
“They treated us like royalty”
We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice of hotels. Borei Angkor Resort & Spa was everything promised and so much more. What a delightful surprise to arrive and be greeted by two doormen dressed in traditional Cambodian clothing complete with gold helmets. The rest of the staff were equially well dressed and extremely courtious and attentive to our needs, anticipating our requests whenever possible. The hotel's sweeping staircase and lobby area are beautiful and the rooms are well appointed and quite spacious. We enjoyed a good deal of time at the pool and took advantage of the inexpensive spa services. We felt perfectly at home during our 5-day stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap. The hotel sits just outside the center of the city but since everything is relatively close, this hotel is a short tuk-tuk or taxi ride from the center of town. When visiting Siem Reap, be sure to stay at the Borei Angkor Resort & Spa. You won't regret it.
“Enjoy & experience tenderness and uniqueness of Borei Angkor”
I found Borei Angkor Resort & Spa as the best experience in luxurious accommodation I’ve ever had. I stayed in one of its Deluxe rooms attached with private balcony facing to a view of swimming pool. During check-in, I was warmly greeted and well seated and served a small glass of tea made of a kind of special leaf "Slek Teouy" in what most of Cambodian call. I could see that everything is dressed up in a very traditional Khmer style such as staff uniform and decoration of the insider building, particularly the king-sized bedroom (where I stayed) with its facilities surrounding that you might feel the spirit of staying during modern civilization of Angkor. The room is spacious and I loved the bathroom with attachment of its wooden shutters and it reminds me of what it was like to live in a wooden house. I found my one-night sleep there very, well and tight and so peaceful since the hotel itself is not positioned close to the main streets, where busy and heavy traffic could not be heard and did not disturb your slumber. Surprisingly, I’ve never experienced one of its additional Spa services which they called “Jpong” where I sat on a small chair inside a standing thick cloth covering up all over my body like a tiny room in order to keep the smoke of Khmer herbs heated and made me sweat. Better try this, it helps release tension and it’s really good for health and no where else has this kind of a real Khmer special spa treatment which represents the uniqueness of this resort.
“Outstanding in every way”
this is probably the best-value-for-money decision I have ever made for my entire vacation. The unbelievably friendly and attentive staff smiling everywhere really make my day either whenever we wake up for our breakfast or everytime we return from the temple to enjoy our time at its pool. by the way, the pool area is absolutely stunningly beautiful. It's a true heaven to look forward to after the hot day at the temple. Also try happy hour of its Damnak Lounge on the rooftop, love it!
“"Impressed with the little things"”
Nestled in a quiet part of siem reap and yet, a stone's throw from the vibrant Pub street and old market. Experience and be embraced by the Khmer culture. Tuk tuks are easily availble at the hotels' door step. The service staff is warm, friendly and makes you feel at home. They will go the extra mile to make you comfortable. The room is a big and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The entire hotel is wifi which is great for me to stay connected. The award winning spa is a must try with attractive discounts offered to guests.
“borei angkor hotel - rewarding and pleasurable”
Received a bigger room with bathtub on the terrace with a view on the 4th floor . It`s better but from 3rd to 4th no elevator , you can`t have both Clean nice central with a lot of wood decorations and local ,special quality carving making it look opulent but it was especially the staff - they are really special The breakfast is simpler than at very big hotels but in the heat of this period you really should take care and eat less . Didn`t use the pool but it was always with people in it and didn`t use the spa -my wife actually wanted a 2.5 hours treatment , she was curious and the price was right -but something didn`t work out so i cannot comment They have airport shuttle that works right on time All in all pleasurable relaxing worthy stay
“Most wonderful surprise while in Cambodia and Laos was staying at the Borei Ankgor!”
Beautiful hotel with lovely staff. Dined by the pool at night and at the breakfast buffet -- both were exceptional. Best deal we encountered in Laos or Cambodia. If I had known how great the Borei Ankgor was going to be . . . would have stayed there a lot longer.
“Very Happy”
Nice staff and Great Hotel
“Truly experience the best of Cambodian hospitality”
I and my wife booked to stay at Borei Angkor in late February 2011 and we found the hotel provided what we needed. We were impressed with the staff while we were being checked-in. A welcome drink, Cambodian cake and a cold towel to refresh our long journey. Can't believe the hotel front desk staff took only a few minutes to proceed us to the room. We have seen the hotel is well equipped with a truly Cambodian art design. The breakfast was awesome, plenty of choices to go for a buffet. My wife just loved the fresh fruits and the noodle as we are part of the Asian people to enjoy it. We spent our half day tour to the temple sites, especially the World's Greatest Site of Angkor Wat. We had quite an interesting visit to the Floating Village and Silk Farm where you experience the reality of the local residents living along the big lake of Tonle Sap and how the Cambodian people make such an expensive hand-made silks. While returning back to the hotel after a long day tour, my wife and I had a one-hour Khmer traditional massage at the spa to refresh our exhausting day. All i can say is that Borei Angkor is truly delivering a very high expectation for those who're looking for a qualified 5* hotel and i would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.
