“I'm singing its praises”

Couldn't be beaten for staff friendliness, free internet access and a brilliant roof top pool - vital after hot sticky days. Excellent location for walking to town (5mins) for the evening as we felt in the centre of things but it was a haven of calm. Excellent breakfasts with very wide choice. I have already recommended it to people likely to go there. They can even book taxis at better rates than on the street.

Staff were extremely polite/helpful, though English of some housekeeping staff was not great (not a problem !). The amenities of the hotel and the room itself was wonderful....roomy bathroom with large counter and rubberized, non-slip floor.....comfortable bed....nice private balcony (we had an "end" room)....secure safe....kettle for coffee/tea making....good aircon. The rooftop pool was much appreciated, with nice views of the surroundings. The (included) buffet breakfast was very good, with nice selection of hot and cold food. We only ate one evening meal in the restaurant, the night we arrived and it waswell prepared and presented, though slightly pricier than eating places in town. The location was perfect - far enough from the centre of town to be quiet & peaceful, while only a 5 minute walk across the bridge. The price was very reasonable compared to other hotels we stayed at during our Asian visit (Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam). I heartily recommend this hotel and would stay again.

“value for money”

This hotel is in a great location, only two minutes from the centre where all the shops, restaurants, buzz etc are. Don't pay a fortune to stay in the expensive out of town hotels when you couldn't be more comfortable than you will be here. they will be opening a swimming pool soon.

For the amount we paid, we were really pleased with the City River Hotel. The staff were helpful, the room was clean, and everything was as it should be. The restaurant was fairly expensive, though. We'd stay there again.

“Amazing large roof top pool, with lots of space to sunbath”

I had already stayed 5 night at a nearby hotel, but the pool was small and there were building works going on, so I moved for my last night to the City River Hotel. I wanted somewhere to sunbath, with no shade that was close to the centre. This hotel was perfect, the rooftop pool is stunning, really big with loads of space (this is hard to find in Siem Reap). It had a lovley little bar that served pool snacks and some really nice raised areas to sit and eat. The hotel staff were really helpful and even let me have a late check out of 2pm. They booked a couple of tuk tuks for us at great prices to it saved us having to haggle outside. You are a 5 min walk along the river to the main central area, and also away from the main busiest road, so you feel a little more relaxed here.

Recently stayed at City River Hotel in Siem Reap and was very impressed. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Free internet access. Rooftop pool and bar. Just what is needed after a day visiting temples. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - they couldn't do enough for you. I would definitely recomend this hotel.
