A Most Enjoyable StayPosted Aug 1, 2013
The staff at the front counter were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet included a wide variety of choices. Overall, the staff throughout were excellent and the cleanliness was of a high standard.

A great stayPosted Jul 19, 2013
Generally very good. The spread at breakfast was particularly good. My only problem was that the mattress was a bit too hard. Very close to the airport, which should be good for business travellers. The staff were all very polite and helpful throughout the

Great hotel but a bit far from town.Posted Dec 25, 2012
Pros: Excellent staff, beautiful decor, fabulous pool
Cons: construction next door
Location: Somewhat far from the central part of town, so a tuk tuk or other transportation is required. But the tuk tuk drivers are nice and not expensive.
This is a great hotel. It's one of the big hotels on the airport road, so you need a tuk tuk to get anywhere. I do prefer staying closer to the city center, so for me the location is less than perfect. In addition, the construction next door is very noisy and work goes on 7 days a week. But other than the noise and the location, the hotel itself is lovely. Great breakfast, fabulous pool. Wonderful staff, very gracious.

Beautiful HotelPosted Oct 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
We will come back here again. One of the best experiences ever spent in a hotel--and this is considering that there was construction on site during our stay. It appears the hotel is expanding. Upon check in, the friendly staff had us seated and provided with a very refreshing drink. They let us check in early, as well. The hotel is among the most beautiful and luxurious of the 4 star + hotels. We had a pool view on the 4th floor and there are no complaints about the room. It was comfortable, clean and well-maintained and provided a nice gift on the bed upon arrival. It is a bit far from the popular pub street but tuk tuks to the area generally cost around 2.50 - 3 USD. There is nothing else in the area aside from other big hotels--but it is worth the stay.
Outstanding LuxuryPosted Aug 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
The Empress hotel ambiance, service and amenities can't be beat. We were treated as royalty and enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I will be recommending the Empress to everyone destined for Angkor Wat and Siem Reap. A thoroughly luxurious experience!
5 Star hotel a short Tuk Tuk ride to townPosted May 2, 2012 on Hotels.com
Mahogany lobby and grand old 5 star hotel with beautiful pool area and chef for individualized omelets or noodle soup at breakfast in addition to the grand buffet. The tuk tuk drivers are available at all hours right in front of the hotel. The city is just 10 min tuk tuk ride to town or 35 min walk. If you do not mind being away from the action a bit this guarantees quiet nights. Staff very friendly and helpful.
