Great hotel close to everything.

Cheap but excellent hotel. Free breakfast and wifi. Great pool and friendly staff. Rooms cleaned daily. Close to almost everything, only 20 minutes to the temples by tuk tuk. Would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic hotel

Pros: Staff were brilliant.
This is a great hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It is located a little way out from the centre of Siem Reap but there are plenty of tuktuk drivers waiting to take you into the centre or to the nearby temples. Clean, comfortable rooms. Some really lovely touches with the turndown service such as a TV guide telling you what English language movies are on. Good selection of breakfast available. Pool is very clean and a great place to cool off after a day of sightseeing.

A really classy little hotel.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Breakfast was good but could be better.
Location: It's about 10 minutes tuk tuk ride into Pub Street and Night Market but it's a pleasant and FREE service between 6 -10pm
From the moment you walk in you are treated with the utmost respect, given a glass of juice, cold towels and vegetable chips. One of the staff sat down with us to advise us on our surroundings and gave us price lists of various trips. The rooms are lovely and spotlessly clean. At bedtime they turn down your bed and leave a lovely little story along with a fruit basket and sweets on your bed. The swimming pool is great with ample sunbeds around and if you're feeling indulgent you can have cocktails and lunch around the pool. The restaurant is pretty good and reasonably priced. All in all this place is very good value. Free tuk tuks into Pub Street between 6pm - 10pm. Breakfast was fairly good and the free tea and coffee is a nice touch.

relaxing & comfortable

We enjoyed our stay at Gloria Angkor in January, from the free pickup and welcome cold drink and sweet potato chips to the sweet farewell gift and free transfer to the airport. We found staff to be courteous, cheerful & attentive (if over-the-top with their multiple repeats of "good morning"); the room was very clean and comfortable - loved the big bath with plenty of hot water; the big swimming pool was delightful; free wifi was good; enjoyed the attention to detail - like the daily fruit basket, bed turn-down with lollies, story and daily movie guide. It didn't matter much that it was about 15 minutes tuk-tuk ride into Siem Reap, with only $2 cost during the day and free return to GA between 6pm and 10pm, and although the hotel is situated on a busy main road, inside it was so quiet for a good night's sleep. The free breakfast was good too - though some bacon & cereals would have gone down well too. All up, a really pleasant stay.

Service with a smile

Bad point: when I arrived despite having a reservation I was told that the hotel was fully booked and was checked into a partner hotel one minute drive away for the first night. I was offered a free massage as compensation. Good points: The room was of good size, clean with a comfy bed. Excellent free tuktuk service in to town and shuttle to airport. The stand out feature of the place was the staff. All of them freindly, polite, and happy to help - they all come across as very genuine. They always went the extra mile to ensure my stay was pleasant and were a pleasure to deal with.

Pros: Close to market
Cons: New expedia pictures that actually represent the hotel, I have a four years old daughter, and no place for to run around
Clean and friendly staffs Pictures on expedia is better than the hotel actually is, it looks big on expedia but it actually small

Comfortable Hotel

Posted Jan 17, 2014
Pros: The Pool and large room.
Location: A little way out of town, but tuk tuk"s are very cheap.
The room was large, clean and comfortable. The Air Con worked well as did all of the other facilities in the room. An excellent swimming pool which was great to cool off in. Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Free Tuk Tuk into Pub Street and back after 6pm and only a couple of dollars at other times.

modest hotel on outskirts of town

Confirmed by email and was told that I would have someone picking me up from the airport. It never happened. However, I was told by the taxi driver that they may have gotten busy and that it happens. Once we arived the service was good and the people are friendly. The location is just outside of town so you will have to take a tuk tuk. Overall a good stay. You may want to avoid if your high maintenance.

Budget Hotel which Tries to Be More

Posted Jan 5, 2014
Pros: The friendliness of the staff and the WiFi.
Cons: Make the front of the hotel more inviting/bright. Have a tourist brochure/maps station (which the staff understands). Redo buffet & menu. Larger TVs.
Location: Bad location; however for a few $$$ you can go just about anywhere you want provided you have a map to show the driver where to go.
This is the hotel that tries hard but still falls short (at least in the areas I was looking for). Pros: - Price: can’t beat the price for what you get - Service: you are always greeted w/ a smile & appropriate greeting - Internet: strong WiFi connection Cons: - Communication: While the staff spoke English, there wasn’t a strong understanding such that requests made were carried out. - Location: While the hotel is located near the turnoff to the major temples, it was located far from the city center where all the restaurants (see below), shopping, & night life were located. While free tuk-tuks are provided between 6pm-10pm, these are one-way trips. It is easy to find a tuk-tuk back but it will cost a couple of bucks. - Tour guidance: This was the most disappointing part of the hotel. While the staff was eager to help, there were few brochures in which to plan a proper vacation-my mistake for not bringing a tour book. It wouldn’t have helped though because when I did plan something, the staff would coordinate what I thought I wanted which was not only wrong but a bad substitution. - Food: The breakfast buffet is very limited. The ala carte lunch & dinner menu items are low-quality, small portion, & high price. Neither - Hotel pick-up: Though I confirmed my arrival three times, there was no van for my family. Fortunately, I was able to share a ride with another family that happened to be going to the same hotel.
