The property was beautiful with the pool and quiet neighborhood, however the bedroom items were not as well maintained. The TV did not work and the bathtub had a huge hole in it. The tub was made out of plastic and was broken also which you couldn't use for a tub. The breakfast buffet was very limited and did not serve much variety.

Clogged sink, toilet flushing not working right wasting lot of water deco was unpleasant finish, sheets were stained white towels would better than dirty looking brown towels hot water in shower never came the first night I ended up taking cold bath etc Staff was polite & helpful internet worked great

Stay here- it's an absolute winner!
This was a superb choice, real value for money. I admit I was very pleasantly surprised - the photos and price dont do it justice. Room was huge, bathroom walk in sized shower was even bigger! Loved the decor and set up. But as others have commented, what truly made a difference, was the staff. They truly make this place exceptional. The service levels from the moment you walk in are astonishing. The front of house team led by Khen, an astounding fellow who will definitely go far, and ably supported by Anna, Laura and others (whose names I'm so sorry I have forgotten, I apologize guys) went over and above their duty to make the experience truly memorable. Not only the service, but passion, energy, friendly attitude and smiles in delivery really shone through: totally lifted my day, every day. And they would do anything to help you, no matter the question or request - nothing was too much trouble, and all delivered with a smile. Whoever has trained these guys has done a fabulous job and has a secret sauce that could be applied in many an over-rated 5 star hotel. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Siem Reap: it will brighten your day, I promise!

Highly recommend this hotel
The hotel is lovely- boutique feeling. The staff was exceptionally friendly and very attentive. They arranged for a tuk tuk to take me around- the tuk tuk driver was known to the hotel so very safe. He was on time to pick me up and drop me at the airport. The room was beautifully done up. Highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again. Geetha

The staff really make this hotel special. I had such an amazing time here and was made to feel right at home. We were here for 9 days and I really didn't want to go home! The facilities were good- the pool was lovely and great to relax in after a busy day exploring temples. The breakfast was good, maybe a little bit more choice but still was more than happy with what was on offer. Rooms were a good size- huge bathroom and great AC! Thanks for your hospitality.

Outstanding stay
My husband and I agreed as we started off in our tuk tuk back to the airport that this was the best hotel experience we'd ever had. The hotel is small and beautiful! There's a serene pool and is a little oasis outside of Siem Riep. What really wowed us though, was the staff. They were incredibly kind and attentive, helping us when a tour was cancelled and giving us excellent advice on things to do and eat (including best bugs to try)! Breakfast was a buffet and plentiful! There was someone there to make omelets and soup to order. In addition, there were croissants, fresh fruit, noodles and other items as well. Laundry was also available for $2/kilo and ready in 24 hours. The hotel is a bit out of town, but that was hardly an inconvenience! Tuks tuks were always available outside the hotel for $2 to downtown. I'm not sure if it's all year round, but while we were there, there was even a "happy hour" from 5-6PM where tuk tuk rides downtown were free. We stayed in room #007 and couldn't have been more happy. Shout out to Laura, Sofie and Kim for all that you do.

Hotel team has been understanding but Expedia team handling my situation for the wrong information provided to us were very in courteous and defied service industry norms. If you are looking for 4/5 star accommodation this hotel is not for you but if looking for a cool atmospheric boutique hotel with fantastic staff and excellent value with good location in Siem Reap then this is a fantastic place to stay. For 3/5 nights to see the sights great.

Love the motel and happily stay again
The Facilities and the service at this motel are excellent. I would happily stay here again, it's only a 5-10 tuk-tuk ride to pub street.

Dear Expedia, The Hotel didn’t know about the reservation. Instead of Twin Roo m on arival It was double. ( The staff were excellent to sort but this should not happen)

A gem of a locally owned hotel I can't same enough
My first on line review and I am happy that it is for the Residence! This review might be long but l but I want to do the hotel justice! The first lovely surprise is walking in from the hot dusty street to find a cool, green courtyard and pool which is an peaceful oasis at the end of a hot day. The rooms are spacious, spotless and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent : daily egg and soup station, several side dishes that changed daily and a fruit and breads section. My daughter and I were never bored and the food was delicious. The hotel runs free tuk tuks into town every evening and the return is $2 US. While the hotel may not be a few blocks from pub street that wasn't an issue, everything is a few minutes by tuk tuk. The Phare circus (I highly recommend) is just up the street.The reception and staff are lovely. The Manager, Makara Jame, is a wonder. He is seemingly tireless, knows everyone, and works endlessly to make sure everything is just right - from the landscaping to tour arrangements, to laundry, to transfers. Staff in the restaurant and the front of the house were - every one of them nicer and more helpful than the next. A special thank you to Cat, Cheata, Naren and Seng for the patience, lovely conversations and wonderful service. I took the cooking class with the Chef, Sun Visal. A lot of fun! We went to the local market for ingredients (fascinating!!) then made 3 dishes which were then served at dinner with wine (enough for 2). Loved this hotel!

Nice stay in Siem Reap
The crews are very polite and they will explain what you can use for free and charged. The service of free airport pick up and drop off are very nice too. You can find 2 supermarkets nearby to buy water and snacks. They provide the private tuk-tuk driver to you although I didn’t use the service since I have my own driver beforehand. Overall very nice at all. Recommended

Friendly and keen staff
We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The staff were friendly and eager to please. When they realised we were vegetarian, they ensured that we had atleast one vegetarian option and they brought it over to our table during our breakfast. They learnt about our beverage preference and customised it to suit us. Their eagerness to please and learn was their USP.

Great value hotel and wonderful staff.
All of the staff made us feel so welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Sreymao, the manager and all of the others working there made our holiday. Lovely little pool, there always seemed to be enough beds and great atmosphere.

Amazing staff
The staff that worked there went out of there way to help and advise us to ensure we enjoyed their country. They were still helping us even after we checked out and we went back to use there drivers etc A big thank you from mat and nat!

stay here--fantastic hotel!
This hotel is a gem! It is successfully hidden on a busy street and a very peaceful place to stay, with a gorgeous, comfortable room, wonderful staff people, and excellent food. The hotel can link you asap to a tuk tuk driver to see the amazing Angkor Wat area, and you can have the same person who picked you up at the airport if you wish. I highly recommend Mr. Chun, tuk tuk #5!

This was not such a great hotel. The main thing that was the problem is that the rooms (or at least the basic rooms) don't have windows. In the online pictures they look like they do, but in fact the windows open onto the corridors of the hotel so there is no privacy if you open them, and in fact they're quite difficult to open. I feel like this problem could be helped by a glass door to the "balcony", although the balcony resembled more of a fire escape. I didn't mind that so much though, it's just the lack of light is a really big problem. The bathrooms smells really, really moldy after a shower, and I've stayed in some moldy places. So that means the cleaners have to open the "balcony" door, and let in a lot of mosquitos. I got bitten the most here on my long trip. The staff are great but they are chronically understaffed, which does lead to big delays and some mistakes. The rooms are in desperate need of a lick of paint. I think the pricing for the tours needs to be way clearer, for example one afternoon I just went to one temple, but I was charged the full amount of a whole tour. This wasn't explained at all. Pool was beautiful though. There isn't much around in the way of restaurants, and it is expensive to get a proper taxi into town, although a tuk tuk is cheap. I think maybe they could consider having a free shuttle into the centre at certain hours, I know a lot of tourists are uncomfortable with the safety record of tuk tuks.

Peaceful oasis
Loved our stay here! What a cute and comfortable hotel! Fabulous service! We spent a lot of time at the pool, and it was utterly peaceful. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with both a selection of either eggs or noodles, cereal, croissants, juices and fruit. Best bacon I had in SE Asia too, but it was only served on 1 of the days. Only downside, which was not that big of a deal, was the location is a couple of km from the main pub and night market areas, so you really need to take a tuk tuk to go out for meals, which costs about $2-3. Laundry and little shop next door, and just off of the main road.

Authentic Khmer hospitality
We loved our two week stay at La Residence Blanc. This hotel is Cambodian owned and staffed, and gives local students a chance to improve their international skills. We appreciated the warmth, service and generosity of each person that we interacted with, and no request was too much trouble. We would highly recommend this hotel and staff. By the time we left we felt welcomed as part of the family.

Amazing staff, location so-so, rooms are okay
The staffs are amazing, they will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They definitely made our stay there comfortable and relaxing. Though the hotel rooms seem a bit old, out-dated, and there was some weird smell throughout the room. The worst part was mosquitoes, it was definitely a big minus for me, but the staff tried everything they could to accommodate including providing a net for us, but I did get bites throughout the night.

Comfortable hotel 15min from Angkor Wat
Nice and quite hotel. Good to pend pool time after sightseeing. Location is just a 3$ away from pub street and ankgor wat. Staff is not proficient in english but they really do their best to make your stay comfortable. Do not expect great tips from them in how to get around but rather look around internet.

Very friendly staff
On the positive side the staff is very friendly and always trying to be very helpful. They are willing and responsive but they still lack experience. They just need more training. The food was excellent in particular the local Cambodia dishes. Very good value for money. The hotel facilities were in general poor conditions: the guest toilet on the groundfloor, the towels and specially sometimes the smell coming from the gutters.

Nice place with great staff
Had a great time in Siem Reap and the staff and drivers at the hotel played a big part. A couple of complaints though: -it’s quite a noisy building, but the other guests contribute to that. When the tourists get up before dawn to catch the popular sunrise at Ankor Wat they make a lot of noise and are quite inconsiderate. -when the staff clean the rooms each day they open all the doors front and rear and let in a heap of mosquitoes which we’ll inevitably have to spray. Other than that the facilities are as advertised, the pool is cool and refreshing after a long day sightseeing, the breakfast cooked food is pretty good (noodle and egg stations), but best of all their tuk tuk drivers are fantastic.
