It is convenient to go out to night market, pub street and old market and they only takes 10 mins. There are a lot of restaurants around the hotel. The staff are very nice. They tried their best to understand what my friend and I needed and offered us the best.

Great value and a pleasant stay!
Clean, comfortable, quiet and near the center of town. The Mekong Anchor Palace Hotel was a nice, relatively inexpensive hotel with a swimming pool, restaurant and easy accessibility to many activities that Siem Reap has to offer. The hotel staff were very responsive to requests and actively strived to make my stay enjoyable. I originally booked for two nights and ended up staying for five. I am highly satisfied with my stay and will plan to stay at the Mekong when I return to Siem Reap on my next trip.

Great hotel all around, memorable for sure. Set up a free tuc-tuc ride from the airport, and setup tour to Angkor Wat with our driver. The hotel is a big classic building, with a lovely pool area and bar in the back. Great place to unwind and cool off from the heat. The staff was extremely helpful, and received us with cold tea and a cooled face towel. The room was pretty large, as was the bathroom. AC was cold, big windows. Hotel provided flip-flops for the pool, and pool towels to use on beach-chairs. Breakfast was fine, simple- noodles, rice, eggs. Coffee and tea also available. We wanted to do a late checkout, so rented a room for another night to keep it for the afternoon. The cheaper room we rented was in the back building, and was much simpler and smaller, the AC didn't work well, but it was not a big problem.

Great location but otherwise a miss
The location is great, rooms are spacious and clean. Wifi is available but spotty. We requested airport pickup, first by the form on the website (never got a response) and then by phone. No one came to get us. We told staff when we arrived and they seemed to not care at all. Staff often seemed confused or like it was their first day there. I tried to order a cocktail and asked what was in one of them and was just told 'I don't know.' There's a 'tour desk' but it was rarely staffed, and no staff seemed willing or able to actually give recommendations on what to do. I overheard other guests ask for recommendations on which company to take to visit Tonle Sap and the staff member simply said, 'Some companies are good, others not. It's hard to tell.' We asked to get taken to the airport since our pickup never showed up, and staff first told us we needed to extend our stay because our dates were wrong (which was not the case), then argued with us over whether we had actually contacted the hotel to arrange for pickup. We showed them the email receipt and the phone record, and they still seemed reluctant. In the end they did arrange a tuktuk for us.

The hotel is a hidden gem, comparing the quality of hotel to the price. Central location. The staff went above and beyond with some extra requests. Very kind people. Breakfast was simple. Would recommend all my family and friends to stay here. Pool and deck are very nice.

Nice hotel, clean, some issues with bathroom but minor. Pool water stings the eyes, unpleasant but bearable. Location is good, 20 min walk from bus station $5 tuk tuk to airport, restaurants and mini mart close. FYI have to request "free one way airport transfer" during booking, can't ask when you get to hotel for transfer on departure day... I was disappointed by this. Wifi was weak in room but good in lobby.

The room was ok
The room was ok close to shops and restaurants, I one major fault with it and I don’t know if it was hotels fault or Expedia. The booking said one way airport transfer, when we inquired about this they said it was only from the airport not to the airport, we had travelled by coach but was flying out, this should be made clear at time of booking as we had to arrange private transport

Superb!
Good location. Airport pick-up was no hassle. The tours offered by the hotel made our trip at Siem Reap safe, comfortable and enjoyable. Our friendly driver, Mr. Bhunthy suggested good sites where to take lunch during our day tours and offered ice cold water after every temple tour we had. My daughter and I appreciated it very much as every temple we visited required a lot of walking and most often than not, without shade. On our last day, the hotel allowed us to store our luggage without charge and permitted us to shower/freshen up after our day's tour as our flight is still 9pm. To the management and staff of Mekong Angkor Palace Hotel. Thank you very much.

Lovely relaxing stay, with good pool to cool off along with nice cocktails from pool bar. I didn't get the pool view room as booked but front facing room was quieter due to neighbouring building work so didn't bother requesting a room change as it was such good value. Breakfast was fair for westerners with limited choices but lovely freshly made omelette and nice banana loaf. Juice could be better as its squash not fruit juice. Good location for markets, pub street and Angkor Wat, just beware of rough pavements and rats when walking main street. .

We were initially booked in a hotel outside the city. Due to an unpleasant experience we checked out and found a great deal for this hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were so good. Unfortunately they were not able to give us the room we booked and paid for on Expedia (instead of twin beds we got double bed instead). The bathroom could have done with an upgrade; shower curtain was black and mouldy, the shower tap was rusty and covered with limescale and sink tap was a moving. However it was 10 times better than being stuck at the other hotel so we didn't complain. It was very central, 10 mins walk to the pub street and night market. Lots if eateries and massage places. Also they allowed us to make use of the pool area after we checked out. All in all we had a good time. Definitely recommend it

When we arrived the shower and balcony door were broken. The shower was promptly fixed, but the balcony door never was. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was peaceful. The pool was gorgeous although had a high concentration of chlorine. Also they sprayed pesticides around the pool in the morning during breakfast which didn't make for the best morning swim experience. Breakfast was excellent we looked forward to it each morning. Fresh made to order omelettes and soup were served along with a buffet of fresh fruit, salads, rice, noodles, sandwiches and more. Housekeeping is great they folded all my clothes and my laundry came out well. Be sure to book your free airport ride in advance as they will not honor it after your stay also use tuk tuks off the property for savings. The front desk staff barely speaks English that can be a bit frustrating. Overall a good stay mostly because of breakfast.

The English speaking staff were very friendly and provided us with all the information we needed. The room was clean, comfortable and well priced and close to most of the tourist attractions. We will stay here again next time.
