Decent, but I've seen betterPosted Nov 26, 2011 on Hotels.com
Although the room was fairly nice and rustic with an awesome view of the Tuscan hills, the hotel location is inconvenient. You have to do several kilometers of off-roading, which would be fine if you have a truck or SUV, but not necessarily a car. I think I need to have my shocks looked at now!!!

A very enjoyable time in the Chianti area. We had a rental car which is important for a stay here. It is a very wonderful area and La Moraia was a good home base

We couldn't locate this place on a map, our GPS got us to a rutted dirt road, we were having to turn around when a couple taking a walk told us we were 10 min away, we followed the directions and were not impressed when we arrived.
