“Nice hotel in Siena”

The Hotel Arcobaleno provided us with a very nice stay. Just a 20 minute walk to the piazza. The hotel was clean and updated. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

“Staff stepped it up”

Initially disappointed when the room smelled like tobacco smoke-prior guests didn't pay attention to the no-smoking rules. We wanted another room, but they didn't have a room for 3 available. While we were out at dinner, however, the staff at thee front desk (who were just incredibly friendly and helpful) got entirely new linens, aired out the room, etc., which made a huge difference. They also gave us wine and snacks to take the edge off. Room was decent size, beds comfortable enough, great common area (including the enclosed sunroom), breakfast was adequate. Pretty good location, though a good ten-minute walk to the north gate to the city, and another 10-15 minute walk to the town center. We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed for renovations. All in all, a cute hotel, well-priced, and we'd go back. The staff there was the best.

“A Gem of a Hotel”

The service at this hotel was superb. We had many questions and requests, and they were all met in a friendly and professional way. To get to the historic center, you have to take the local bus. At first we thought it was a drawback, but it wasn't, as it gave us a chance to interact with the locals and to experience how they lived. On the other hand, the train station, is only a short walk away, which was great when taking day trips to other towns. Our stay included breakfast. It consisted mainly of a variety of coffees, sweets, breads, cereals, and coldcuts. Everything was very fresh and delicious and you save lots of Euros. We visited in the Summer when Tuscany is extremely HOT, so needless to say, the excellent central air conditioning throughout the hotel was actually one of our favorite features. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone who does not want to be smack in the center of town surrounded by thousands of tourists 24/7.
