“Ideal Location”

Difficult to believe that other reviewer stayed at the this hotel. Hard to imagine a better place location to experience Tuscany - (i) 1/2 hour south of Florence, (ii) 1/2 hour north of Siena, (iii) within biking distance of charming towns of Radda in Chianti and Castinelli, and great restaurants. Hotel itself has great pool, great wine bar, solid restaurant, small but functional health club, bikes.... Would strongly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to experience Tuscany.

“Best for honeymooners!”

Wonderful breakfast! Dinner was great, though there wasn't much variety. Amenities were great! Perfect for honeymooners!

“Tuscan Paradise”

Il Borgo de Vescine was everything we were looking for in a Tuscan getaway. The setting was perfectly idyllic and secluded - just far enough away, but within a five minute drive to the nearest bigger town. The pool area was fantastic (even though the weather was temperamental), although the tennis court was in need of repair (which the hotel was aware of). The service staff was extremely helpful and polite, and spoke very good English. The dinner service was excellent and well-priced, but the breakfast buffet was one of our favorite parts of the trip. It was included in the price of the hotel and was certainly worth it.

“Wonderful Setting”

This hotel was very nice. It was in a beautiful location overlooking the Tuscan hills. The restaurant was absolutely delicious and their wine was also very very good. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Tuscany.

“Tuscan!!!!”

This is Tuscany! The room was great the view was even better. The Grounds were as if we lived there, so comfortable and authentic. The Staff was very helpful. If you want to feel the area this is a great place, away from the hustle and bustle.

If you want to get away from things, this is the perfect hotel. Situated on the top of the mountain, the views are spectacular. The pool is very relaxing. Rooms were nice and clean. Very close drive to Radda and Castellina in Chianti with excellent dining. I would highly recommend this hotel and would make a return visit if back in Tuscany.

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities and very friendly staff. The rooms are spacious, clean & air conditioned. Breakfast is included and there is plenty to choose from. We ate at the restaurant on our first night and although the authentic Tuscan food was really good, the set menu did not suit everyone in our group so we tried the restaurant just down the road a few times and I would also recommend it. The large swimming pool and terrace have great views over the surrounding Chianti countryside, vineyards & olive groves and it is never too crowded so you are guaranteed a sun lounger. The hotel has a vineyard nearby and we tried several of their superb wines - we recommend the Turranio! Overall, we had a very tranquil and enjoyable stay in Il Borgo Di Vescine. We were most impressed with the friendly staff and the location, right in the heart of Chianti (although hiring a car is essential). I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in the traditional Tuscan countryside.

“Would love to go back”

Location is amazing - totally surrounded by stunning views. Within walking distance to a wonderful pizza restaurant. Half hour drive to Siena. Staff very helpful and friendly. However, food was ok but not as good as experienced elsewhere. Maybe we'll upgrade rooms next time to get something bigger.

This is a great place to stay but make sure that you get there by car as it is very remote. You can rent a car in Siena.

“Very nice relaxing hotel - peace and quiet”

Nice and relaxing - very quiet location - pool not heated - take some insect repellant as we got bitten and noticed a lot of others were also. Flies were a bit of anuisance around the pool. Room was nicely done and comfortable. Breakfast was good for continental. Good restaurants in Radda and Castellina
