This is a lovely property ourside of multipulciano, closer to aquaviva. The owner was very helpful and accommodating and gave us a recommendation for a restaurant in a neighboring town that served us one the best meals of our month in Italy. The pool was pristine, the ground and view were beautiful.

Pros: View, rooms had lots of space with kitchenette, very comfortable. Location is in easy reach of many small villiages and wineries
Cons: bathroom are tiny, shower was very tight and water is only warm.
Out in the countryside with a stunning view. I would stay again.

Southern Tuscan Retreat

Posted Jun 12, 2013
Pros: Location to tourist attractions, outlook over vineyards and olive trees, laundry facilities
Cons: Nothing
Location: Ten minutes by car to Montepulciano, two minutes by car to nearest town of Aqua Viva for grocery shopping.
La Casa delle Querce is well located for visiting the main sights in the Montepulciano area including Pienza, Cortona and the Autostrada. Luca the owner is only too pleased to help with tourist advice. Apartments are well equipped for self catering but there are many restaurants nearby in the Montepulciano area. There are two supermarkets in the closest town which is Aqua Viva. The outlook from La Casa delle Querce is wonderful. It is also good to have laundry facilities. This accommodation is a very good base for exploring Southern Tuscany!

Lovely & remote location

This is a beautiful rustic place 15 min outside of Montepulciano and the perfect place, if you want it a bit quieter and relaxing. The owner is super friendly, the garden has an outdoor swimming pool and a terrace with an amazing view.... perfect for dinner and a glass of wine. The apartments are basic but functional and clean. Would highly recommend it. Especially if the weather is nice and you have a bunch of kids who need some space....

Pros: Peaceful retreat
Cons: No A/C. Fan cooling in one bedroom was adequate during nights. No fan in second bedroom.
Location: Beautiful and serene.
Located 10 minutes outside of Montelpulciano, this place is a beautiful and peaceful retreat for a few days of rest and relaxation. The courtyard overlooks a beautiful valley of vineyards and towns on the hillsides. The yard includes a great swimming pool, outdoor shower and several nooks to retreat to for reading or a nap. Luca, the owner, is a real gentleman. Our two bedroom suite included a kitchenette useful for preparing breakfast and lunch (there is no food service). There are several fine restaurants to choose from in nearby Montepulciano and the regioal wines are fantastic. If Rome and Florence are on your itinerary, this is a great place for a stop.
