A delightful stay in a perfect Tuscan villa! All of the details are living history - from the old style window fixtures to the goddess statue in the yard. And yet all the modern needs are met. The breakfast on the terrace looking over the view was sublime - the hosts could not have been more engaging - one of my favorite Italian memories. Oh, and a fantastic ten minute walk to one of Siena's original gates - another ten minutes to the Campo.

We had an outstanding stay at Palazzo di Valli. The view and grounds were beautiful, and our room had so much character. Giacomo at the front desk was knowledgeable, friendly and kind and really helped us have a great stay in Siena. Highly recommend staying here.

Highly recommend. Nice, quaint property with an excellent host. The building originally dates back to 17th century. Good private parking. Decent breakfast. Steps from shuttle to Siena town center. Very classic, old age Italian, but with a modern shower. This is not for you if you’re looking for a modern place. We loved it.

Lorenzo and Giacomo are the perfect hosts of this lovely old villa. There is nothing they are not willing to help you with or make recommendations for. Very attentive. The view, the view, the view. Every morning to have breakfast on that terrace looking over the valley was a dream come true. The villa feels like a whole other world away from the center of Siena but you can walk through Porta Romana and be in the center in 15 minutes or take the easy city bus just a few steps away. We looked forward to walking into the city every day and then equally looked forward to being back at Palazzo di Valli for our tranquil setting. Rooms are spacious, updated but kept the beautiful elements of the villa. A great stay.

The view from the grounds of the property where you can leisurely sit, read, eat breakfast, hang out, is breathtaking and vast, and alive. Being in that ambience is healing in of itself. Everything else offers great value — the care and advice of the proprietors, the breakfast, the staff, the availability to answer any and all questions and concerns made me feel like I had a sanctuary to come back to after spending the day in Old Siena, which is absolutely wonderful!

We really enjoyed our stay with Lorenzo and Jacuba. The breakfast was amazing and such a nice way to start our day. We walked into Siena each day and it was a very easy walk. I would definitely stay here again!

The fellows that run the hotel could not have been more helpful, accommodating and gracious with their time. They had great suggestions on things to see and do. The property is absolutely beautiful, with great views. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return again some day.

Beautiful view of Siena and the countryside. We really enjoyed breakfast on the terrace. Was very convenient to get to the center of Siena and to explore the surrounding hill towns. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in Tuscany.

Our stay at this hotel was fantastic from the minute we arrived the service was exceptional. Our room was great very clean and very comfortable. The owners gave us so much useful information and advise on places to visit. Their recommendations of restaurants were excellent we had some beautiful food in Siena. The hotel breakfast was lovely and again we had great service each morning. We can not wait to return and would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful gem of a hotel.

We stayed 3 nights at Palazzo di Valli in late April 2022. The property is beautiful and located in a quiet residential area just south of the city's center. It sits on a hill overlooking a valley, and has it's own orchard and flower gardens. Instead of waking up to the sound of motorcycles and delivery trucks under your window, we woke up to chirping birds. Hosts Lorenzo and Giancarlo were wonderful, offering us recommendations, and helping arrange reservations and transportation. It's a bit of a hike into the city center, but my husband and I (in our 60's) managed it easily. There is also a bus stop near the hotel. There is a breakfast buffet that has almost everything you could possibly want, and you can sit outside and enjoy the view while you sip your cappucino. I highly recommend Palazzo di Valli. We'll be back (hopefully) !!

Very nice hotel! Giacomo was extremely helpful with local information. Can't speak for other rooms but our shower was a little tight. Very clean, great bed, great views! Outside wall of Sienna but short walk. Would recommend.

A must stay in Siena
Our stay was wonderful. Giacomo snd Lorenzo are excellent hosts. They are very knowledgeable about the entire area and offer great suggestions for day trips as well as dinners. The views from our room were spectacular! Our room was spacious and comfortable. The Palazzo is a wonderful building. So full of charm. With an easy walk into the old town and on-site parking this is just a perfect place to stay on Siena.

The hosts were fantastic in every way!! Lorenzo helped us with any questions and even was able to book us a last minute wine tasting with tour of the Tuscan countryside. Great location to take us to Siena and to the Train Station. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there anytime again.

Charming older building… the room was nice & most importantly the air conditioning worked great. The staff were all very friendly & helpful and suggested a drive that was probably the highlight of my trip. The terrace had a spectacular view of the sunrise and the view was incredible.

Beautiful Tuscan villa in picturesque setting
Beautiful Tuscan villa now in use as a small hotel. The rooms retain much of their original features, such as the beamed roof, whilst being equipped to accommodate guests. Only quibble is that the bed is rather hard, if you prefer a softer mattress. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, sharing useful information about nearby Siena. Breakfast includes fresh made quality coffee, although the options for vegetarians is a little limited. Very peaceful setting with stunning views from the terrace. All in all, recommend this delightful small hotel.

Highly recommend this charming historic place based on comfort, beauty, location and especially the incredible help of the staff, most of all in my case, Lorenzo. The breakfast is a wonderful experience. The view outside is great. Lorenzo knows everything and he will research any solution for you. You walk straight down to the Roman Gate of Siena. Maybe it's 10 or 15 minutes and if you want to save the walking or the time, the special shuttle bus stops right outside your gate and takes you to the city gate or the central plaza. I will mention the entrance is through the gate from the street you arrive on, it's not the small walled road next door. The gate is narrow and Lorenzo explained they haven't gotten a widening approved because the gate is so historic. This was the summer place of a family that had two popes. Very excellent location from which to drive around the towns of Tuscany. Easy to drive a rental car down from Florence. To explain how nice was the experience, I came to Siena from the first class luxury H10 Canova Hotel on the Venice Grand Canal. Although Palazzo Di Valli is very different, I felt Lorenzo and the staff offered me every bit as much personal service, and enjoyed the stay so much I was very sorry to leave after 4 nights. Thank you, Lorenzo!

We loved this hotel! Very old and very charming. In a great location, quiet with awesome views. Staff is warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent with an espresso bar. Can eat inside or out. We say outside one night in the inviting chairs that they put out every evening, enjoying the views with a bottle of wine. Just a lovely hotel that we will definitely visit again. Easy 20 minute walk to Piazza del Campo or hop on the shuttle right outside the hotel. Easy walk back from Piazza even at night. Very safe town and area. Can't wait to return. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Siena!
