We were delighted with our large studio. Kitchen was well fitted out, plenty of utensils, pots etc. An easy walk to town or the bus station, if you want to explore other areas. Local bus stop nearby to go the bus station. Viola and Angela were very helpful. Perfect receptionists...there if you need them, but leave you to it otherwise. The studio was spotlessly clean& Viola made an appointment to clean it during our stay(9 nights) which we were impressed with. The shop is 5min walk& the pizzeria next door is v good (€5 for pizza). The pool area is lovely for lazy days. A great base to explore Tuscany, easy to get to& we would stay again. 10/10

We had a lovely spacious apartment ('La Scalla') in the farmhouse, with great views over the countryside. It was very comfortably furnished with traditional furniture, and all was spotlessly clean. There was a private place to sit outside immediately by our door, and we enjoyed eating and reading there. There is a pool, again very clean, and the farmhouse is surrounded by olive trees and vines. The family make their own wine and olive oil, both of which are delicious.
From the apartment it is just a short (uphill) walk into Montepulciano, a delightful hill-top town, yet the apartment feels to be in the country, away from all the bustle and tourists.
The hosts are very kind and helpful, and Marina cheerfully coped with our feeble attempts at Italian. Antonella speaks good English and is home from work in the evenings and at weekends.
We would heartily recommend Podere Fontecastello.

We had a wonderful experience here. Sara was very friendly, always available when needed and so very, very gracious. The place was beautiful and immaculate. The area is quiet and peaceful. It was great having a parking lot to park our car in. A few items would have been helpful to have in the kitchen area. We cooked several meals in. It would have been nice to have a few basic spices and condiments (salt, pepper, oil, vinegar) and a few dish towels but this was only a minor thing. If we return to the area in the future, we will definitely stay there again.
