The Metropolitan by COMO is a classical style luxury hotel located next to the Banyan Tree. The location makes it a great spot to stay with easy access to the BTS and close proximity to the main shopping hub of Siam. The hotel itself has wonderful staff. As soon as you walk through the lobby entrance their signature fragrance hits you, helping to instantly place you in a relaxing state. Staff are friendly and helpful and will go out the way to assist in anyway. The rooms are of a modern, simple, classical luxury style although our room had a terrible smell coming from somewhere in the bathroom. That said we didn't spend much time in the room so didn't bother us too much.
We also highly recommend a bite to eat at Nahm - a wonderful array of classical Thai dishes at reasonable prices. Overall a great stay and would definitely here stay again. The Banyan Tree is located next door so just a short trip to Vertigo at Moon Bar.

Because our flight was delayed at Heathrow for nearly 24 hours, we only got 4 hours in the hotel. Not really able to judge but the room was nice. I did get 2 hours sleep and have a shower before moving on.

We got a free upgrade from superior room to deluxe room upon arrival which was an awesome surprise. The hotel stands out in almost every aspects but doesn't cost much. The staff were nice and helpful. The room was comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was clean and well decorated. The breakfast had a good variety and was located in a clean and comfortable restaurant.
The only thing that's not perfect is the transport. It takes a 7-8 min walk to BTS, which is still not bad. But I suppose you can't ask for a clean and quiet hotel with everything right at the front door, definitely not with the price of AUD 60 per night.

Hugging the Chao Phraya River, Silom, and Sathorn are home to the full gamut of industries. Considered part of the central business district, the area is also home to the city’s most renowned entertainment and red light area, Patpong. Other distractions include the shopping complexes of Robinson, Central, Silom, and Makro. Expect constant traffic congestion.
