Nice Hotel

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Rooms were nice and exceptionally quiet. No hotel noise at all. Disapointed with the staff at the Bistro however, it is supposed to be a bar and the attendant did not know how to make drinks.

Noisy

Posted Dec 30, 2014
Pros: Rooms, grounds, everything clean.
Cons: Get a continental breakfast.
The hotel and room were nice. But it was the noisiest place I've ever stayed. Not really the fault of staff. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the people above us made it sound like they were doing aerobics starting at about 6:30 AM. Our room was situated right next to the vending and ice machines. Avoid this room if at all possible. The machine noise comes right through the wall and the hillbillies getting their ice and/or beverages at all hours of the night talking as loudly as possible made for a fairly poor nights rest. Would be nice to have a continental breakfast. Overall, I'd give the place another chance since a good deal of what made things somewhat unpleasant, other than the lack of a breakfast spread, were not the fault of the hotel or staff.

Home for Christmas

Posted Dec 29, 2014
My husband and I return home for Christmas in Simi Valley frequently and stayed at the Courtyard for the first time. The staff was friendly, the facility was clean and new and the best was the pine smell of the live tree when we walked in every time! It is conveniently located by a freeway making it easy to access our family both directions. They offer a restaurant for convenience but there is also, a great coffee shop across the parking lot.

Could be better

Posted Dec 24, 2014
The air conditioner didn't work. We called the front desk and they sent up a guy who fixed the problem in less than 2 minutes. Nice response, but why wasn't it checked before our arrival? It's not like the hotel was full! The pool had many leaves in it, and there was no obvious way to 'up' the temperature of the hot tub from 'tepid'. Ok, this was on the weekend before Christmas, but the staff just seemed a little too relaxed.

disaster

Posted Dec 24, 2014
I called and asked for a firm bed, and they said they would put a board under mattress but it did not happen. my antique diamond ring that belonged to my mother accidentally got flushed down the toilet and no one would come to try to help me to try and retrieve it. This was a terrible hotel and barely had hygiene items.

Average hotel

Posted Dec 5, 2014
Cons: Internet connection. Do not expect it to be "high speed" and the hotel's network has more viruses and bugs in it than a stray dog has fleas.
If this hotel suits you because of the location, price or something else, there is no particular reason to avoid it. Overall nicely built and arranged, it is a bit shabby around the edges. Staff was OK, room large, door dead bolt broken though. Breakfast choices are better around than in the hotel itself. Overall gives you an average impression.
