Great HotelPosted Nov 4, 2013
Pros: Clean and comfortable beds with HD TV.
Location: Location was right off the 101 freeway, but quite as well.
Better than we expected, however they did forget to clean our room after the 1st night stay.

Condition of room and comfort.Posted Oct 31, 2013
Pros: Breakfast was OK
Cons: Condition of rooms, heating system, someone on site to accomplish repairs if necessary to make stay comfortable. My husband now has a cold.
Location: Easy to get too and close to Reagan Library.
Carpet in room was filthy - chair in room was dirty. No heat in room. No one on site to repair anything after 4:00 P.M. Very uncomfortable stay. Staff offered to move us to upper floor, we got the last room on the ground floor which is what we requested and needed to have. Lots of noise from outside. Also needed an extra blanket, none in room.

Overnight stay before Malibu visit.Posted Oct 8, 2013
Overall quick thumbs up for an overnight stay. Enjoyed the breakfast but didn't get toniest the pool. Room as clean, comfortable and quiet. The front desk was friendly, but seemed very distracted.

Disappointing ...Posted Oct 1, 2013
Pros: We did enjoy our bed.
Cons: The staff should be informed to watch when they are entering the elevator. One staff member walk into me as I was trying to exit.
Location: The location was idea for us. Close to shopping and restaurants.
To begin, we thought we had made our reservations with the Courtyard Marriott so checking into La Quinta was very disappointing. We arrived to a sign posted on the counter that the staff was busy. After about 5 minutes the clerk arrived and checked us in. There were many people mingling about in the courtyard and the general area of the property, normally not a concern however they seemed to be living there permanently. The room itself was very small, if the clothes cabinet door was open, one could not squeeze through between the open door and foot of the bed to move about the room. And after using the toilet facilities once the staff had to be called to unplug the toilet...Fortunately we were only staying the one night otherwise we would have left. For a few dollars more we will stay at the Courtyard Marriott on our next visit to the Thousand Oaks area.

Convenient LocationPosted Sep 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is located in a great Newbury Park area and is pet friendly. The hotel is very old and shows signs of it. The room was clean, but very small and no amenities to speak of. No trash can liners or laundry bags. Just one small bottle of shampoo and 2 bars of soap. We were on the back side and the walkways and stairs were very dirty. The a/c units in each room are very loud and people were out in the hallways at night talking very loud. The police were there twice. The rates for this hotel are very high for the condition of it and what they offer. Breakfast was minimal and most of it was packaged. We will not stay here again or recommend it.

Don't Ever Stay at This Dump!!Posted Aug 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was loud, noisy and the parties of the younger people in the rooms, people breaking into several cars and a loud barking dog in the parking lot. Hairs in the bathroom floor and shower. The Hotel person in charge for the night was unkempt, smelled and obnoxious. Thats the last time I will ever stay at a La Quinta Inn

2 stars hotel not a 3.Posted Aug 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is more like a 2 star hotel. The Residence Inn and Homewood Suites are better. The room only had a little fridge and microwave. Housekeeping carts were stored in the hallways. The breakfast quality was poor and thwre was not a hotel staff to monitir the breakfast. People were taking excessively large amounts of breakfast (mostly muffins) in grocery bags. Seems La Quinta could save a lot of money by staffing the hotel appropriately. Skip this hotel, if you can.
