LOVED everything about this hotel. Check-in was fast and simple. Greeted with cool towels and choice of drink. Staff is very friendly and always willing to help. You have question...just ask and they will assist. Rooms are a nice size and very clean. Bed is comfortable. I recommend paying for a room upgrade if you plan on sitting out on balcony... oceanview or cityview. Food is good. Simple menu at buffet. Ocean Point bar & restaurant is good too! Menu is the same everyday. But you are being waited on! The beach is very nice...you get to see planes land and take-off all day!

We could not have had a better stay on Saint Martin. The hotel grounds and views are just like the pictures - turquoise waters, clean white sand, Mediterranean architecture. The hotel is well-located on the French-Dutch border, making it easy to get a taxi to anywhere on the island quickly (which the concierge always booked for us). A few extras that made the view and service that much better: the roasted chicken at the beach bar cafe; the watersports staff (30 min jet ski on open water was a delight even for a non-swimmer); evening turn-down service; L'Occitane bath products; gift of a 6" chocolate egg on Easter morning. This hotel far exceeded our expectations.

This resort was nice, but it wasn't 100% finished. The rooms were spacious and the views were gorgeous (avoid any room ending in 02 because the view includes the roof of the restaurant). The staff was helpful aside from the concierge who needs a bit more customer service training. She wasn't very knowledgeable and she was unprofessional. Aside from a few minor issues, we had a great stay and would like to return once all construction is completed.

One bedroom unit was cramped. Shower soaked the floor of bathroom.
Penthouse unit was Beautiful. Three bedrooms, three baths with on suite bathrooms. Four balconies. Beach was inconvenient. Long walk or had to drive. Used it only once. Pool was nice but food selections poor. No other convenient restuarant.
Maid service was excellent.

Staff are very friendly, ask them anything and they will be more than happy to assist you. I recently stayed at the garden suite apartment, very nice! You'll see a few turtles and lizards around the garden. Few restaurants are in walking distance and the bus is available around the corner.

Simpson Bay is the boundary water dividing the French and Dutch parts of St. Maarten. Nearby Cupecoy Beach is a small, clothing-optional beach in the southwest corner of the island. It is lined with beautiful rock formation and caves.
