Pros: All of the above. Brunch is just right - not elaborate but casually pleasing. Careful to historic detail complete with history/biography in each room.
Location: Lovely area for exploring.
Very pleasant hotel - smallish, comfortable, historic, accommodating. Staff made just the correct effort to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Comfortable, good value

Posted Apr 12, 2015
The innkeeper is lovely, warm and attentive. The woman who greeted us was welcoming and carried my bag upstairs. Only glitch was that our first room was over a kitchen ventilating fan that caused noise and vibration. We were immediately shown another room, but if there hadn't been one I would have been very unhappy.

Good value for the money

Nice inn. Not as rural as the photos make it look - it's right on the main street through town. But room was nice, great service, good restaurant on site. Very close to a couple of state parks for hiking and not far from a couple of different cross-country skiing areas. Breakfast was adequate - options similar to a Hampton Inn.

Met my daughter for a girls weekend. The Simsbury 1820 House did not disappoint. Lovely spot and the service was fabulous. We will stay here again.

Simsbury Experience !! Blown Away !!

Posted Feb 10, 2015 on Hotels.com
I recently visited Simsbury CT. for the funeral services for my friends' mother. A very sad reason to visit such an exceptional B&B. Pam and her staff absolutely blew me away, they made the very best of a difficult time. Kai and Lynn were always there to help, the room was spotless and exceptionally decorated. The 4 Star restaurant Metro Bis owned and operated by Chef Chris Prosperi is in the Simsbury House, this added feature of having a restaurant you can access without leaving the building put the finishing touches on a sad and snowy visit. My thanks to Chef Chris, waiters Ryan and David of Metro Bis for the great meals and service. Regardless of what brings you to the this part of the country, I highly recommend that you make the Simsbury and Metro Bis a place to visit. A special thank you to the Pam the Innkeeper for making all of us that stayed with her feel so welcome. Memphis

Feel like home, sometimes more comfy than home! In such a bad weather, winter blizzard, we had a great time there!
