Great resort hotel.Posted Feb 18, 2014
Great for a relaxing break by the sea. Not really for those looking for a cultural experience of Indonesia.

Great staff & pool, tired roomsPosted Feb 1, 2014
Pros: Wonderful staff, great pool and a beautiful, white-sand beach
Cons: Overall the hotel is very tired and needs renovating. Room very basic with the bathrooms & kitchen in desperate need of an update. Drinks v expensive
Location: Banyan Tree hotel next door. Laguna golf club in the same complex
We spent two nights here in a 2-bed Angsana suite. The suite was very basic and in desperate need of refurbishment. The bathrooms and kitchen area were the worst, with a permanent smell of drains in the kitchen/ lounge area. That said it was clean and the beds comfortable. The quality of the food was good but quite expensive, but it's the price of the drinks that make your eyes water - and we live in Singapore so are used to high prices. US$9.60 for a can of Tiger beer and the same for a large bottle of drinking water. The pool was lovely, it was very well maintained with lots of loungers and day beds. The beach was also spotless and one of the best I have seen in a long time. The staff are what make this resort. They are extremely friendly and helpful, and it's down to them, the pool and the beach that we would return here. Next time I would book a regular room on the top floor so we can enjoy the view of the bay, and also (hopefully) better value for the room. However if the hotel is not properly renovated soon then even the staff and the views may not e enough to make us return.

Cons: respect their commitments
I book a luxury bedroom and when i irrived they propose à lower class bedroom and i have to sign a renoncment to claim. I protest against this kind of hotel who not respect his commitments and over book its faciliites

Service very good but rooms and food a real disappointment. Very expensive for what you get. I would only recomend the beach. That was amazing. Food was very bad.

Very Nice Stay!Posted Oct 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a very nice stay. The hotel is a little dated, but it's good value, has a great pool and excellent beach access from the hotel. There's a hotel manager that was very friendly and he went out of his to make sure we had a nice comfortable stay. Staff was very friendly as well.

Very nice location. Best service experiencePosted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: Hotel rooms need some refreshment but rooms are very comfortable
Our stay at the Angsana Hotel was a great experience. Amazing beach, very nice hotel staff. The hotel room are a bit old fashion, but very comfortable. Hotel amenities are great with an oustanding beach just nearby the golf course. We experience the first beach party organized at the Hotel which was a real success and tremendous experience. I hope to come back again to enjoy another stay.

Total Chill-outPosted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere. Staff friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Cons: Food and drink prices need to be reviewed.
Location: Great place to chill and relax.
Spent a long weekend at Angsana with my wife. Had a great weekend chilling out by the pool and on the beach. Relaxed atmosphere throughout our stay. Staff were excellent an couldnt do enough to help us - very friendly and efficient. Hotel a little bit dated but very well maintained. Food was good. Only downside is price of food and particularly drinks which are verging on outrageous, for example 7.50 USD for a can of Bintang,12 USD for a bottle of Corona and 15 USD for an average glass of wine.

Time for a faceliftPosted Aug 18, 2013
The Angsana staff is very friendly and accommodating and the property sits right next to a beautiful stretch of beach. However, the hotel charges too much, given the overall condition of things. The rooms and exterior need a fresh coat of paint. Lots of scrapes and chips. Plus, our bathroom was quite dated, with a small, extremely dimly lit mirror, which was useless. If the Angsana is going to continue to charge "big league" prices, they need to step up their game.
