Banyan Tree Bintan is built on a site remarkable for being a lush first-growth rainforest nestled along the shoreline - a rare occurrence in Southeast Asia.

The property combines gracious service and modern luxuries with an idyllic, natural setting. A white-sand beach leads to a bay and the South China Sea beyond. Beach towels, umbrellas and sun loungers are provided. A freeform pool adjoins the beach. To preserve Bintan's dramatic terrain, landscaping is kept to a minimum and most boulders were left where they were. The second pool is built into the rocks above the coastline.

An 18-hole golf course designed by Greg Norman boasts spectacular views and varied terrain. Guests can indulge in a spa treatment indoors or outside in a private cabana. Business and leisure travelers can make use of the three meeting rooms and library.

Saffron, the signature restaurant, serves Thai cuisine. The Cove restaurant showcases Mediterranean fare, complemented by panoramic sea views. The resort can also arrange romantic outdoor dining experiences, such as the candlelit Dinner on the Rocks.
