Value and ConveniencePosted Nov 20, 2013
Value for money. Good location (except that theres some rail line construction going on outside, was seemless to me given a good rate and proximity to mrt, orchard rd, bugis markets, etc) Friendly staff, good breakfast. We checked out a midday but our flights wasn't till late night. The hotel kept our luggage till the evening and even allowed us to grab quick shower when we returned to collect our stuff. Bath/shower are older style with shower curtains but still in good order and clean.

Friendly Hotel - Free WiFi + good buffet breakfastPosted Nov 7, 2013
Pros: We like the buffet breakfasts - excellent quality (also let us in early on day of departure). Plus the unlimited FREE WiFi which is a must nowadays.
Cons: Only one washing machine and dryer for guests. Need more machines and needs to be cheaper than S$7 to wash and S$7 to dry.
Location: Close to train/buses. Walk to everything. Good Irish Pub around corner. Cheap Asian food mall 50 metres away.
The construction outside the front of the hotel made it challenging to get in and out but all the tour companies/taxis knew where to come. There was some noise from the construction. One of our two rooms faced the front but the person in it was intrigued to watch the construction so did not mind the occasional noise. The staff at this Hotel are so friendly and obliging it makes up for the inconvenience of the construction. We got the rooms cheap for the standard of accommodation and it included FREE WiFi (a must for us) and an excellent buffet breakfast every morning (dishes were varied daily so it kept it interesting). The only draw back for us was the cost to use the washing machine. Only one machine and one dryer for a large hotel - located in the pool area - and too expensive at S$7 each. Had to get up early to ensure we got the machine otherwise waited for others to finish. Apart from this, we all enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone who wants value for money. Will stay again.

Nice hotel in close to city centre and subwayPosted Nov 4, 2013
Pros: The price per night was good. The hotel was clean.
Cons: Lots of road and building works going on outside with the construction or a new subway so a disruption to hotel traffic. But manageable.
Location: Close to city centre and China town. Large park nearby.
Staff were pleasant and helpful. Good plentiful buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. internet available in room at no extra charge.

Good hotelPosted Sep 24, 2013
Nice hotel with a 24 hr kopitiam nearby. I like the hotel in every way except for the subway construction in the front. I had a hard time location the hotel due to th blockage in the front. Must enter from Waterloo street and that's a big inconvenience.

Watch outPosted Sep 15, 2013
Cons: Management of this hotel
Difficult even for a cabbie to find the place. MRT station being built adjacent to hotel and the noise is unbearable. Unfriendly staff, terrible house keeping standards

Nice hotel at a reasonable pricePosted Sep 15, 2013
I have stayed on several occasions, walking distance to Raffle’s hotel and Sim Lim Tower. Clean with good service that doesn't cost the earth.

Other than the construction of the MRT nearby, it is one of the best hotel considering the money for the value. The rooms are decent and the services are quite OK.

NoisyPosted Aug 2, 2013
They are building a new MRT station out front. It is very noisy in the lobby, just OK in the room on the 9th floor. Room quality is just OK, just not worth the price. But I guess Singapore is just expensive.

Good location and Staff but room was dirty.Posted Aug 1, 2013
Good Stuff Location, Staff, Breakfast Disappointing Stuff Room was dirty, there were visible stains on the sheets and and on the pillows. I booked and paid for a double room but when I arrived at the hotel they told me the roadworks outside would make it very noisy so I stayed in a single room.
