Good rooms, but no sound proofingPosted Aug 11, 2014
The rooms were lovely, the staff were great and the location was excellent... But the walls were paper thin. Our room was evidently next our neighbours toilet and it each time they went, the whole bloody room shook. It was impossible to sleep through.

Saturday at FairmontPosted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: The location, the staff, the service
Cons: Pool area is small for the size of the hotel. Include breakfast on weekends please.
I arrived at 9am and was surprised to receive access to their guest lounge for coffee and shower as my room would not be ready until 2pm. That made all the difference for me as I just need these two things to start my day of touring. Also the luggage service to the room was lightening speed. A rare treat. And the front desk staff goes out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Thanks.

Location! Location! Location!Posted Aug 2, 2014
Location: Hotel is located above City Hall Metro. Trains very efficient. Gardens by the Bay (a must do), Arab Street, Chinatown, Little India all close by.
I stayed at the Fairmont Hotel for five nights last week and had a Harbour View Room on the 17th floor of the South Tower with a view to die for! The room was large and well appointed with a super comfy bed and soft feather pillows. I really enjoyed the rain shower and the large fluffy towels were very welcome. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The buffet breakfast at the hotel was of a high standard and the staff, although busy during the times I was there, were always friendly and efficient. After a couple of days the staff were addressing me by my name and I was quite touched. Attention to detail is so important. I did not eat at any of the hotel restaurants - there was so much choice in the food mall just below the hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is central to everything and so convenient to Raffles City Mall and City Hall Metro. I used the Metro for all my travels around Singapore. After a long, hot day of walking around the city, it was always such a pleasure to be able to return to my room and THAT fabulous view, especially at night with the laser show in ever changing colours. I really enjoyed my stay at the Fairmont Hotel, will recommend it to family and friends, and can't wait to make a return visit.

A really great hotel; the decor and finishings are excellent. The staff were all very friendly and interactive. The hotel has a great location so it is very easy to get anywhere in Singapore. An excellent stay and we are looking forward to our return!

Good hotel, decent locationPosted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: Service, location, connected to Raffles City
Cons: Bathroom (toilet, shower, sink)
Location: There is Raffles City which is a mall that is connected to two train stations making it convenient.
Stayed on the 8th floor which was convenient for me. Room was a very good size and everything was there, including a toothbrush! Bed was nice and plush, pillows were good. Blankets were light as Singapore is really too hot and humid, but sometimes, the air conditioner made the room too cold. Bathroom was also a very large size. Only things I didn't like were the shower system (overhead and manual spray-head?), the toilet which seemed old, and the sink didn't drain fast enough. Although the hotel and accomodations were quite good, I could see the hotel isn't young anymore. The service was excellent and it was connected to Raffles City which was super convenient. Overall a good place.

Amazing stay and most amazing beds!Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Great rooms beds amazing
Cons: Only negative is the pool area is shared with Swiss hotel Stamford so very crowded and lots of children
Location: Ideal location straight opposite raffles hotel and mrt station under hotel
We had the pleasure of staying at Fairmont Singapore for a week. We were upgraded to the next room category which was lovely as a newly refurbished room. The staff were amazing and it was a really nice feeling at the end of the day after feeling hot and exhausted walking back into the hotel. My only feedback is the pool is simply not big enough. The Fairmont and Swiss hotel Stamford share the same pool and gym and is extremely difficult to secure a sun lounge or a treadmill. This was the only disappointing factor. It was quite ironic that this was the case as these were the two hotels we were trying to decide between to book, however I still would recommend if you are in same situation book the Fairmont. There is just an intimacy and warmth about it. The beds are amazing I've never slept so well! We did have a few cleaning issues with our room which we addressed and were attended to immediately with a sincere apology. If you are booking ensure you join their membership program the presidents club prior to booking your room. It's free to join and gives you free wifi in your room, otherwise you will need to pay a fee per day. The hotel is in a great location. Straight opposite the raffles hotel and nests above the raffles city shopping mall. We went and checked out the marina bay sands while in Singapore and after visiting we were so relieved we did not book there, it was just chaos and crawling in tourists who are not guests. We would definitely stay again at Fairmont Singapore

Great classy hotel in central locationPosted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: It was elegant, good sitting areas/meeting areas, great service, rooms are big w great view, shopping in the building, okay food.
Cons: Outlets near the tables in the meeting rooms so computers can be charged. More snack or finger food to munch while meeting.
Location: Great shopping and restaurants in the hotel and the mall. Walking distance to bug is, near MBS, MRT downstairs. everything was convenient and nearby
I was there for business meetings with people from other countries - some staying at the same hotel, some at different hotels - one at Marina Bay Sands, one at the Intercon, one who lived near Changi airport. The hotel was easy to get to from the highway, the guy at intercom walked, the guy at MBS could either come by MRT or cab in 5-10 mins. So it was central. We started at breakfast and spent the rest of the day sitting at the tables at Anti-dote - the bar near the entrance on the ground floor where service was excellent, chairs were comfortable, it was quiet. Perfect for this.
