Great value for moneyPosted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: Clean and value for money
Location: We were only there one night, We got on the MTR and went to see the laser lights at the Marina Bay Sands. Ask locals for directions at the Sands. Wow!
We got a great deal through Expedia. The hotel was better than expected, given the number of stars, Staff were helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the local atmosphere and had no trouble getting to and from the MTR. The room was compact but clean and modern.

Convenient location for the airport, good valuePosted Nov 21, 2013
I had 18 hours in Singapore so I booked a hotel that was easy to get to from the airport. The hotel is on the main line that goes in to town although the Metro only begins at 6am so if your plane leaves early you need to take a taxi and pay the night rate...luckily the hotel is close to the highway that leads to the airport. The rooms are small, but clean. They have universal sockets and wifi. There is only a shower. The hotel itself is nice and stands out in the area. I know very little about the areas of Singapore, but at night there does seem to be some prostitution going on in the area around the hotel...which also seems to be a good place to eat, I didn't notice any prostitution inside the hotel.

Clean hotel in GeylanPosted Oct 25, 2013
This hotel has everything you need to do a one-night stop over in Singapore. It is closer to the airport than downtown, and walking distance to MRT station. It is in Geylan, the redlight district, but I just wanted a room to sleep for a few hours before my next flight, so it presented good value. Clean.

Small room but excellent servicePosted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: Cheap rates, handy to train station.
Cons: A small bar fridge would have been handy
Location: Near the train station which is very easy to use and get around Singapore.
The room was small but we expected this after researching the hotel. Excellent hotel staff and the room as serviced every day, value for money. Even though its in the red light district you feel safe enough wallking around as a couple.

Not bad at all!Posted Oct 16, 2013
Pros: The staff and the location sees a more 'local' Singapore
Location: Travel by MRT and try the Penang Seafood restaurant near the station
We went to the Fragrance Ruby under no illusions that it was located in the Red Light District of Singapore - and it was! Yes there are ladies selling their wares but it isn't like say an area like this in the UK, you are safe and won't be hassled. The hotel itself isn't the Ritz but its clean, housekeepers call each day to service the room and at the end of the day you don't go to Singapore to sit in your hotel room so its fine if you just want a place to lay your head. The room is quite compact so careful manouvering is needed when moving around the room or getting something out of your suitcase. The staff were great, speak fantastic english and were very helpful.
