Upon arriving, there is no one to assist with bringing in luggage. Once we went to check-in there was only one person working the front desk with several people waiting in line and others using the self check-in. The self check-in would be great, if it did not require staff badging. As mentioned before, there was only one person at the counter and he was trying to put out other fires. It would be good to have 2 people at the counter or a dedicated person to the self checkin to help streamline things. From the outside and the lobby, the hotel seems fine. However, once we got to our rooms it’s a different story. My family shared connecting rooms. The interior is old, furniture is old, the AC struggled to maintain the desired temperature. There was a cigarette smell coming from the vents. Amenities are self serve. The location of the hotel is great, it’s located next to a shopping center with many food options and shopping options. It is easy to walk to hawker centers as well as other tourist attractions. Although the location was great, it is not enough for us to stay at this hotel again.

Yvette was so accomodating and understanding- helped us with early checkin as we arrived from an overnight flight exhausted with kids. Rooms were clean and tidy, location was great, easy access to everything. Thanks again to Yvette, appreciate you beyond words can express!

Furama City is obviously a hotel in decline..it clearly thinks cost reduction is more appropriate than customer service. Basic hotel services are inadequate.

Spacious rooms with good quality beds, but the carpets both in the hallways & the rooms are old & musty. Also, the bathrooms need renovation. Staff are very friendly, generous & accommodating. Room cleaning is not every day, but they have an area in the lobby to grab/restock supplies for your room. Very very good location between Chinatown Point mall & Clark Quay. Situated between Chinatown & Clarke Quay MRT stations. Has upper level connector bridges so you don’t have to cross the/as many streets to go either way.

Hotel is so convenient. 10 minute walk on both directions to Chinatown or River Clarke Quay. Also a walkable distances to Merlion and the Marina Bay Sands hotel. I would recommend to all my friends. Special water refill stations on each floor is a better method than buying dozens of water bottles. Hotel staff is very friendly.

I had an easy, comfortable, and convenient time staying at Furama. The self check-in was buggy, but the front desk receptionists were kind at helping. Room was a great size. Bathroom could use better ventilation but it was roomy and ample enough. The facility is old, but I still had a pleasant stay. Very walkable to all the interesting spots in Chinatown, and it's just across the street from a hawker center. Would highly recommend for a budget-friendly stay in SG. Thanks Furama! I'll be back.

Service and staff above and beyond. Really, from Pauline down to porters it was was superb. Hotel is a bit dated and first reception point a bit primitive compared to Riverfront where we stayed before. Otherwise no problems.

The hotel showed signs aging. Hallway carpest was dirty and the bathroom had caulking cracked. Front desk staff was good. Location was great. Lots of connecting walks to adjoining buildings. Thank you.

This is our second stay. We like the area for the foo and closeness of MRT. The Property is old. Room and corridor smells. We had to keep the AC on all the time to stop the smell. Cleaning the carpets may help.

We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel won't do any cleaning during this period. We had to go to the receiption to colloect toilet paper and tissue when they ran out. The corridor is very smelly. We had to empty the rubbish bins and leave the rubbish in the corridor for collection. No daily supply of bottle water, but you can go to refill the water in the corridor. The sofa bed is just not adequate for an adult to sleep on, too short and too hard with only a thin fitted sheet provided. Location is good with good view. Easy access to Chinatown with plenty of options for food.
