Pros: friendliness of staff
Cons: bar area was lacking in ambience

Hotel looks a bit tired . The main bar and entertainment area could use a facelift

Location: The hotel is located in a great location. It is within a ten minute walk to Great World City shopping center where you can find great restaurants.
Love the room and the hotel staff was great. I have always enjoyed staying at this hotel.

Pros: location, location, location and the pool view from every room
Cons: not very friendly front desk staff at checkin
Location: Very close to Clark Quay. Walking distance if you want, but also a very cheap cab ride if you want to go that route.
This is a very good value being so close to Clarke Quay. I very much appreciated the room upgrade given to me upon my arrival. The check in process was swift and efficient which I very much appreciated after a long journey. The lobby was nice and the staff in the lobby were very courteous. If I had one minor complaint, it would definitely be the fact that at check in time, the Front Desk staff that I interacted with just didn't seem that friendly. I very much enjoyed this hotel and don't want other potential guests to get the wrong impression, but I'm writing this mainly in the hopes that the manger reads these reviews. I made eye contact with one of the Front Desk staff who promptly looked away, and then the one other who checked me in was very professional, but certainly not friendly. I just think guests in a hotel deserve better than that, particularly one that rates itself as a four star hotel. Again, assuming this is isolated and not indicative of the hotel, but I can't let it go unnoticed because I was a bit put off by it.

Dont go to furama!

Dated Hotel that stinks of smoke with poor service. The dining is also not up to scratch with seedy 80's saxophone playing on reapeat every day and little selection of poor tasteless food. This hotel is cheap accomodation for oilfeild and airline workers dont take your family there for a holiday.

Furama Riverfront - fabulous

Pros: Staff and service
Location: Location was good. We were happy to be close to Chinatown, Clark Quay etc. Transport system and taxis make it very easy to get round.
We stayed at Furama Riverfront for 8 days and really enjoyed it. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Monica in "The Square" restaurant went out of her way to look after us.We enjoyed our daily breakfast and found it good value for money. Concierge Eddie helped us book seats and print out our airline tickets for flight home. Always a concierge out front to hail taxis, opening and closing doors and greeting us on every return. Not all hotels provide such service. Nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend and stay there again.

Overall a pleasant stay
Posted Jan 9, 2013
Over all it was a very pleasant stay at the Furama Riverfront. The decor was very elegant and pleasing, the staff were friendly and very helpful, and the room was most relaxing and well taken care of. The only two problems that I had with the place was one, that someone needs to teach the cooks / chefs the difference between well-done and medium rare and how to choose a better selection of meat for their steaks. My wife had a rib-eye that was an immense workout for her jaws and my tenderloin was not much better. The second issue while minor did leave me wondering why a hotel of this level has no airport service. Still, I would certainly return to this hotel the next time I am in Singapore.

WHY O WHY DID I STAY
Posted Jan 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
IT WAS AWFUL I ENDED UP HAVING A EXECUTIVE CLUB ROOM WITH AN OPEN PLAN LAYOUT SINKS IN BEDROOM WENT OUT IN THE 60'SNO WARDROBE, 4 COATHANGERS AND A GLASS WALLED BATHROOM WITH A BLIND BUILT IN SO YOU CAN CLOSE THE BLIND TO HAVE PRIVACY? WHO'S IDEA WAS THAT,I HAVE STAYED IN BETTER HOTELS COSTING 60 US$ AND JUST IN CASE YOU THOUGHT I WAS BEING TO CRITICAL BUT THE CLUB LOUNGE WAS POSITIONES IN A CORRIDOR OVERLOOKING THE END OF A MEETING ROOM ON THE GROUND FLOOR, AVOID DISSAPOINTMENT AND DO NOT STAYAT THIS HOTEL, AS WHEN THEY WERE ASKED TO HEL THEY OFFERED ME A CHEAPER ROOM? UNBELIEVABLE
